Has anyone ever had an allergic reaction to the Addidas CottonTech deodorants? I've been using the stuff for about 3 months now and loved it until about a week ago when I developed irrritation under one of my arms and now both are red. I am never allergic to things and it will seriously suck if this is what I am allergic to because I was so happy to find something without aluminum that actually worked for me.

Never used it, but I wonder if that is what is causing the reaction since you've been using it so long without trouble. Are you using a different razor or anything else new and different?

I went thru a list in my head of things that I may have changed in the past few weeks and nada... Same type of moisturizers, razors, shower gel, etc. The deodorant is the most recent brand change. I am going to switch back to my old stuff for a month and then going to switch back to the new stuff. I do hope I can rule it out. My FI tells me we been together so long that his sensitive skin is rubbing off on me.

Out of curiosity, did you just get a new stick of the deodorant? I ask because I go thru one about every 3 months, and I'm wondering if they changed the formula a bit. If so, that might be the source of the redness.

If you're only red under your arms, its probably a sensitivity to the deodorant... sorry I'm allergic to Dove deodorant, and it was the most uncomfortable feeling! I feel for you girl!

Another thing you might want to check is the expiration date. I really never even knew that deodorant had an expiration date until I discovered it while dropping mine one day. Then I noticed that some brands have them & some don't.

Nope, was coming to the end of this one. I was about to go out and buy a new one. I am going back to the stuff I used before this new brand.

Unfortunately there's no expiration date on the Addidas stuff I had, just a made in Canada stamp.

I"ll figure it out eventually. Thanks for the input. :)
