You are very lucky...by the way when are you going to put some pics on your siggy?
well let us know when you set the date...I wish my friends were around (they live 3,000 miles away) to help plan. I only have one friend who is married and all the others are still in the dating everything that walks phase-okay that's sorta mean, but none of my friends are in serious relationships and are only excited to wear a pretty dress and bring boy of the month to the wedding.

Christine I totally get you on the friends thing, that is my situation as well. In fact I love this site b/c anytime I talk to my friends about wedding planning they are nice about it but then I'll hear from another friend that so-and-so was crying on NYE b/c she has no one. And then I will feel awful. Or I will talk to another friend about resorts and then she'll tell me she got dumped and I will feel like such a jerk. I don't have a digital camera but once again I'm going to see if I can get my FI to scan a pic so that I can get a siggy. LOL.

Glenda,

Your 'Save The Date' idea is great! Maybe you should add a little piece of paper with all your info. You can add a magnet to the back of the paper so your guests can leave it on their fridge as a constant reminder to book their trip. I did that for my Save The Date cards and I have been receiving tons of compliments about it.

Those are super cute! My only thoughts...

#1) I just got done doing 60 boarding pass STDs which weren't that hard to do and was really happy to be done. Really factor in how much work each will require.

#2) You mentioned you are a lawyer. So am I ... I know what control freaks we can be. If that doesn't apply to you then you can stop reading this. If it does then just think about giving power to others to make your cards. My FI offered to help and I said no thanks - mainly bc I knew that I'd only be satisfied if they were all done as I wanted and I didn't want to have to "check" his work. Just remember that not everyone cares as much about a perfect looking std as you might.

Now that I'm done sounding like a totally crazy controling b!$ I'll stop and say I'm really happy I made the std's myself bc it really made this feel real to me.

That is too funny! When I first joined the forum I was like "OMG.. I can't believe they have a thread on STD's" I thought it was related to having to get blood tested in Mexico in order to get married.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
