Now that I have some time to read through this, I'm going to be annoying (sorry!) and ask you a ton of questions...

She arranged my welcome dinner at St. Anne's for 51 and set up my travel mugs & hats at the table. I wanted to do a dinner, but Chandlyn said she could only accommodate up to 30 people at St. Ann's. Did you have to pay more for more guests?

Our ceremony was at the beach gazebo (awesome) with recorded music - she did this perfectly! I picked the tropical flowers and they were beautiful! We took a ton of pictures & guests had rum punch. Cocktails were at the Dunn's River bar at 5 (where Chandlyn set up a nice area with tablecloths just for the wedding guests) (free). Wow! I didn't realize we could have a free cocktail reception. Did you set this up with Chandlyn prior to your arrival?

Then at 6:30 we went over to the plantation (upstairs) for the private reception. How were your tables set up? How many people could each table sit?

Michael was really awesome, very nice & professional! I highly recommend him. We hired him for before the wedding in my room, thru the ceremony, & after. Then we also had him come back to the reception for a couple hours. He ended up taking over 900 photo's! When we went to go view the photos a couple days after it was just taking way too long so we ended up buying about 750 pictures on the CD after deleting about 200. It was a little more than we wanted to spend but honestly did not want to spend the rest of our trip going thru every photo! We got 10 5x7's & the raw cd when we left. He didn't have time to edit all 750 photos before we left so he'll mail the edited CD in a few weeks. The pictures that we looked at (we didn't even go thru them all) were abslutely beautiful. The lighting, scenery is awesome - it looks like a postcard - I am very very pleased with them. I'm so glad you had such a good experience with him! Did you arrange your package, times and payment with him before you went or did you wait til you got there?

Let me know if you have any questions. My professional pic's will be here in a few weeks but I do have a few printed that I'll post Wednesday along with my own photo's!!! Hope this review helps!!!

Congrats again! I'm so happy that you had such a wonderful experience!

Did you have to pay more for more guests? How many people are you having? I did NOT have to pay extra for this. She reserved/set up 3 tables in St. Ann's for 51 people. The place is really big. I remember when I first asked about this she said up to 50 people? I would definitely double check with her.

Did you set this up with Chandlyn prior to your arrival?Yes, I asked her prior to arrival where my guests could have cocktails before the reception & she said here at Dunn's River bar at 5pm (that's when they open). I didn't realize she was going to set up a section for us - it was nice. Plus it wasn't too crowded at that time.
Then at 6:30 we went over to the plantation (upstairs) for the private reception. How were your tables set up? How many people could each table sit? The plantation is shaped like an L. The head table was in the middle (corner) and then the tables were out from both sides of us on an angle - i hope that makes sense. Once the head table was done eating we asked the waiters to push the head table to the side to make a larger dance area. I asked for tables of 8.

I first paid for the package (i chose classic, then i paid for 3 extra hours, & the DVD). After the wedding I paid for the actual CD of pic's.

Thanks for answering all of my questions! I have about 85 people coming, but I just wanted to use St. Ann's for my wedding party for the night of the rehearsal and in total it will probably be about 35 people. I'm going to email Chandlyn and ask her again if it's possible. Thanks!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
