This is a normal reaction. Usually when you get waxing or threading and you get this redness with bumps it will start after the procedure and last until the entire day. Did you say you got it done today or yesterday? If you got it done yesterday you should be good to go for tomorrow. If you got it done today then they may still be there tomorrow. Sorry I don't mean to upset you but it usually takes a day to calm down.

I would apply the hydrocortizone that Morgan recommended. But don't put all this other stuff on your face b/c it is going to give you an adverse reaction (b/c you are mixing so much stuff together) and you will only make it worse. Apply ice if you want and then put some of the hydrocortizone.

Hopefully they will be gone by tomorrow. Also, try not to stress (I know easier said than done) b/c then you will just make it worse. Crying makes it erupt more to, so try to stay calm.
I got it done on Friday and the bumps are still here and still red. My shoot is tomorrow, Tuesday.

Don't do the desitin. Get the cortizone. But if you got it done on friday I really think you will be okay for tomorrow. Do not put too many products on your face. I'm warning you its going to get worse. Just put some ice on it and try to relax while you watch a movie or a show or something. You will look beautiful tomorrow, you'll see. If worse comes to worse buy a good tinted moisturizer at the drug store today. It will help make your skin look even instead of blotchy. Everything is going to be okay. hug2.gif

Uggh...I've done the threading before and the pain is so not worth it to me. Don't wash your face anymore before the shoot and definitely no astringent. You can try the cortizone and see if it helps. My skin is super sensitive and even cortizone irritates it. For me 100% cocoa butter is all that takes away bumps without irritation, but I don't know your skin type so it's hard to say what to do. Ice will help with any swelling...good luck and no more washing!

am i a total guy huh.gif but what the hell is threading? all i can picture is someone sewing into your face?

changes are you could clear up by tomorrow so dont worry too much. i had an allergic reaction two a face wash when i was in HS and it lasted about 8 hours.

that is good advice to call the place that did it and ask if its common or if it will go away with a while or what..

i hope it clears up. IF NOT... you can photoshop the photos to look perfectly normal. so dont you worry :)

Once I went to stay with my brother in college. I got huge pimples on my face. Bigger than any I had ever had. I told him I wasn't sure what was happening & then he told me the washcloth I had been using was the rag he cleans with. Why didn't he tell me that before? I stopped using it & my skin cleared up right away.

Ouch! Your poor skin was rebelling against the chemicals. Only men would use a washcloth to clean the house - too funny!

One more thought - maybe pop a few advils or similar - something that is used to bring down swelling. I think it will help at least bring the bump part down and hopefully the hydrocortizone will help the redness disappear.

I have one last last minute suggestion! Call and make an appointment with Mac or some make-up place for before the shoot. At the very least they can be covered up for the pictures.

Also my guess is your photographer is going to be retouching ALL your pics anyway - do not freak out - I promise it will be OK! The week before my wedding my entire face broke out into an awful red bumpy rash... but when the time came it was gone and your will be too wink.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
