It was wonderful!!  The resort is very nice!  We also visited Secrets Silversands and Dreams Riviera Cancun..we actually decided to have our wedding at Dreams Riviera..

You will not be disappointed in NOW Sapphire..they were wonderful!!

If I can give you future Brides some really random info...they technically cannot give straws out at the Swim Up Pool Bar..sometimes they would give them to us but they have a sign posted saying they are protecting the environment.  Some of the other bars will give you a straw but you have to ask - we ended up taking a bunch from the coffee shop.  If we were having our wedding there (I know it sounds silly) I would have added straws to my OOT Bags!  It's hard to drink a frozen drink without a straw!  Silly I know..

Also..if you have smokers - they don't have ash trays at the Swim Up Pool Bar either..they are pretty hard to find any where actually.  Again - If we were having our wedding there I would have gotten a bulk pack of the cheap plastic ones and either added them to the "smokers" OOT Bags..or just brought a bunch with me to the pool and/or beach!

So..their is some random info for ya!   If you have any questions please..let me know!!

Hi sarcrook,  Can you tell me what your deciding factors were to choose Dreams over Now Sapphire?  I have an appt. this weekend with my travel agent to 'hopefully' commit to a locatin and they are both on my final list.

Thanks!!

I sure can!

Hands down the Dreams resort is just amazing!  The rooms are unbelievable alone...right when we walked in it was just breathe taking!  Everything about it.  I love how the resort looks itself - very beautiful.  I love their ceremony options and their reception options.  Desire's is a GREAT place for the Wedding "after party" too!  I have stayed at a Dreams before so we already know the service is outstanding and the food is wonderful.  We have a lot of guests whom have never been to an all inclusive before - and I know DRC would wow them from the second they walk into the resort.  I honestly can't say enough great things about how everything looked.  Just incredible.  Even now the more we think about it the more we fall in love with it being perfect!

Now Sapphire was nice as well - it would be a great Plan B.  It would make for a beautiful wedding!  It just didn't have that same "wow" factor as Dreams.  We got an incredible deal and knew that Now is owned by the same company (still working on the switch I think) so we knew it'd be a great resort - which was why we chose to stay there for this last trip.

The WC's at both resorts were wonderful.  Honestly we were even worried about Dreams being a little pricey but once we saw it we were already making exceptions and agreeing that we would somehow just make it work.  Probably offer our guests a choice between 5 & 7 day stays - to give them a less expensive option.  Although Now is nice.. Dreams is unbelievable - literally from the second you walked in the door!!

Hopefully that helps!

If you need anything else let me know!

Hi,

I stayed at both Dreams and the Now Sapphire last June for 3 nights each.  Both resorts are abosletly beautiful and the food is equally as good.  You can't go wrong with either.  I decided on the Now Sapphire and my wedding is on June 11, 2011.  The rooms at the Dreams are one of the nicest that I have ever seen.  The rooms are nicer at the Dreams then the Now Sapphire.  I liked the overall hotel at the Now Sapphire better.  The pool area and beach area seemed to be more spread out at the Now Sapphire, which I liked.  I also loved the wedding options and beach area for the Now Sapphire.  Both are beautiful resorts, but I had that "wow" factor when I went to the Now Sapphire.

Good Luck!

Hi Ladies,

I'm getting married at the Now Sapphire on June 11, 2011.  My ceremony and cocktail hour is on the beach.  I requested the terrace next to the beach for my reception... but now I'm not sure which I had requested.  I feel silly to say that I didn't realize that there was a Tequila Terrace and a Beach Terrace.  Can someone explain the difference to me... Does anyone have pictures of the two?

There's a photo I took at night of the pool, there's a space between the pool and lobby that Sandra said you could do cocktails if you didn't want to do it in the same place as the reception. Just fyi...

For sure ceremony on the beach, but now I'm not so sure on the cocktail and dinner.. Based on all the pictures out there, I thought I was set on the Tequila Terrace, but in showing my FI the options, he liked the beach terrace. Doesn't seem like many people choose that though, why not?? Thoughts? Thanks ladies! :)

Do you have the contact info for the DJ  that is included in the Divine package?  Did you decide to use the one that is included or someone else?

I believe this is the Pool Terrace - although this could be your "Beach Terrace" - I don't know cause really the Tequila Terrace is the one that has the stairs right to beach..Sandra told us she is trying to get the wall painted white so it is more Wedding~ish:

Inside those "coves" are showers - she said for the Wedding they remove them and put flowers inside...

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
