We actually had our dinner in L'hermitage, not outside (it was August and we were afraid it would be too hot), so people had a choice between lamb, steak and fish, I believe. But generally, the food is really, really good so I wouldn't worry. but if you want an alternative to meats, their fish was super!

She said that she would match when it was apples to apples comparissons but I don't really know what the means since we haven't even sent out our STDs yet. ( I know I'm behind). I'll let you know what I experience as people begin to book.

No worries!
Thanks! I'm hearing the same thing - "apples to apples" - and I don't really know what that means either - sounds sorta vague to me. When we booked our travel it was about the same, but now it's $500 cheaper on Orbitz, sorta wish we would have waited to book since travel rates keep getting lower and lower it seems.

I'm not really seeing the value in having a TA. I assumed they would have unique access to the best deals and alert us to them so we could pass them on to our guests. But instead my guests and I are finding these deals online and trying to get her to match them. I feel like we're doing all the work!

But I am grateful these travel deals are out there! ;>)

1 month from today... I'll be at Paradisus! YAY! It cannot come soon enough. I'm ready to walk down that sandy beach aisle, marry FI and party with friends and family!

Right now, it looks like the big items have been crossed off the list. Still, there's so much to do: vows, programs, escort cards, welcome letter, earrings, shoes, guestbook, etc. Eek!

I'm working on a planning post even though it's much simpler and doesn't have the fun DIY items as other BDW ones. Hopefully, some of you will find it useful.

THANKS and a smile03.gif to all you Paradisus ladies! I love that we have such a friendly, supportive and active group! I couldn't have done it without you all!

Good news, my TA was able to match the Orbitz pricing and actually came in a bit cheaper even with the airport transfers. Travel rates are incredibly cheap right now. My sister's travel quote is $1000 cheaper than it was a month ago! I'm starting to regain my trust in DWT!

Thanks again for all your helpful advice! I don't know what I would do without this forum!!! ;>)

Lauren- thanks for the sash info. I'm going to check it out.

Fanny- 1 month till you are in Mexico!! woohoo. I arrive on the 19th. I forget... will you still be there? I would love to meet the newleyweds even if it's just for a short bit. HOw exciting.

Brooke- even though we are working with a TA I have checked out other sites and am annoyed that there are so many deals now! Good for you I hope you end up saving a few $. We booked a while back thinking that prices would go up becuase that was when gas was a million a gallon and whatnot. Also.. I think that term "apples to apples" must be a TA term cause mine said that too! ha ha

On another note. I am so ready to just go get married and leave all this behind. I am so over school, planning and cold weather. I want sun, fun, friends and family!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
