I'm not sure. I started off with Elisa- she was awesome and met with us on site visit. We went over everything in detail at the time and then 3 days later she emailed me and said she wasn't with Paradisus anymore and that perla was taking over her stuff. So I think Perla got promoted. Either way, I think they work as a team and one is just more in charge of your specific account. KWIM? Daniela wasn't there when I went down.

Missy you rock with that email. amazing.

Sandra I am also going to do my own makeup. Let u sknow how mac does. I am either going to go with Mac or Bobbi brown and see what I like.

I only stayed at the Paradisus 2 nights and then went to Isla mujeres. Initially we were looking at 3 places, but we knew it was paradisus after teh first day. That had been our hope. They didn't pay for my stay, but I think i got some sort of discount. I can't remember what it was though- sorry.

If you already booked there then maybe you could tell them that you are planning to come down for a visit and finalize things and ask if they comp or discount the stay? The worse thing that can happen is they say no.

In terms of the site visit - it all depends on what you negotiate. We got a reduced rate (we went for four nights) but they won't give it to you for free. Daniela is Perla Assistant - Perla was promoted to "Romance Manager" when Elisa left last year but they work in the same office side by side.

On another note, I hate to be a bitch but please don't ask for emailed attachments. The whole point of posting attachments on this forum is for people to download and for me to not have to email it to 15 people. Downloading takes points and points can be earned through posting and sharig thoughts and ideas.

Ladies who are married or have visited Paradisus: Did you consider long tables instead of round ones? If so, how did you make your decision? I like long tables, but I don't know how that will work in terms of space and set-up. We're expecting up to 60 people, so long tables might not make sense. Thanks!

In regards to points, they are so easy to accumulate! Share your ideas, opinions and words of encouragement to other BDW brides. I tend to be more of a "words of encouragement" member since my creativity dept needs a little help! :) The give-and-receive relationship among members through the point system is what keeps this forum alive and flowing with ideas. I'll def post a planning and post-wedding thread when the time comes.

Fanny, I really wanted long tables, but set up kind of together (like a U shape) so that everyone would be together. It just didn't work out with the space and the number of guests we had. The space is longer than it is wide and since we did a buffet for dinner the tables for that took up some of the room. I think that either Trish or Brook, who were both Dreams Tulum brides that got moved to Paradisus, used long tables. I remember seeing the pictures. Maybe try a search on one of them?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
