Paradisus Riviera Brides - POST HERE!

Avong, that sounds like such a swell idea. How much was that if you don't mind me asking? I don't like the idea of OOT bags and the stress that comes with it, because we already have to translate everything from English to Portuguese, i don't need more work or extra expense on traveling with that. I was thinking of the excursion as a nice gift to all that made it out there.

DJ Doremixx has good reviews, just lately - not to bad mouth him- he has some complaints on not showing up, his other coworkers show up instead and he'll come toward the end of the night. So I guess be specific in requesting Ivan.

I'm a 2012 bride :) August 24. I think the Now offered the terrance which is gorgeous and it's nice to have a seperate reception/ceremony within a close proximity which not many resorts have. That's why we're selecting the terrace for the reception and beach for ceremony. That's ideal. Good luck with all the planning. You can lock in your date by March.

I still have plenty of time to send in my reservation request to Sandra, but I do want to lock in my date so I have to narrow down my ceremony, cocktail an reception locations.

As far as the reception goes, does anyone know if you need to rent a dance floor for the Tequila Terrace because I know the wooden slats might not be good for dancing.  Also, has anyone seen the Beach Terrace decorated for a reception at night with the tables and maybe lighting?

Also, does anyone know that if I choose the highest package, I think it's the Divine package, is there any additional/hidden costs for the reception dinner or is the entire dinner included with the dessert and drinks also?

I know I could just email Sandra with my questions, but I figured you girls might get back to me sooner.  :-)

Any other 2012 Saphire Brides out there??

Thanks!!!

Good to know I'm not the only early planner. I am going next Month on a site visit to Now Sapphire. Hopefully all goes well. I've been in touch with Sandra and she's very nice. For the 2012 brides have you booed anything else? I'm also researching photographers and hair and makeup as well :)

Maritza, the photographer that is included in the wedding packages are good, ask for Jhankarlo (he works for adventure photos) If you don't book a package, then they have their own packages. I wonder if they're still offering free photo session, that way you and your fiance can try him out. I'm very particular about photography and was ready to book Elizabeth Medina for $6k..but he floored me with his work! I loved it!

Amy G, I didn't know they had different names for the terraces lol but I guess the beach terrace.

Yes, I believe there is a Tequila Terrace, a Beach Terrace and maybe a Pool Terrace.

Any other brides out there know the differences between these and any recommendations?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
