Paradisus Riviera Brides - POST HERE!

Recommended Posts

Ok, so it's looks like I am going to book Mannia. Not sure yet if I will add the dance floor. Will have to wait and see what kind of numbers we are looking at to see if I can fit it in the budget. As for photographers, my sister sent me contact info for a friend of her's from high school and I love her work. Waiting to hear back from her on cost, but I hope I can afford, cause she's just the style I am looking for. Her website is http://www.nikkileighmckean.com/index.php

Lauren, your countdown is down to days! How exciting!

SD - the gazebo can only accomodate like 15 guests, so if your wedding is any bigger, you can count it out. I chose the beach, because I've dreamed of getting married with my toes in the sand. I confirmed with Perla that my ceremony time is 5pm, so Lauren, our time lines will probably be similar.

I booked Mannia yesterday. Very happy that is done, but he said Carlos won't be around for January. Oh well, I looked at reviews of some of their other djs and people also had great things to say about them as well, so I am not too concerned.

Hello ladies,

last night I started to review the pages of this forum (for a second time) and only just realised that the ceremony in the package is not a legal one...! I know we could have a legal ceremony but at a very steep cost, $1000 USD.

After a long discussion with my FI we had decided that we may need to review our resort options. The cost of Paradisus may be a little more than we had planned. The fact the resort only does one wedding a day is very attractive, but their costs are just so high and they really do seem to charge for every little thing. It is tough because we may not know exactly what we want to change to a package for the next couple of months and then the cost of our destination wedding is too much for us to attend!

Thank you all for your wonderful comments and all the information. I will stop by and try to read your posts even though I may have to join a new thread elsewhere.

LAURENANDBILL - have a wonderful day and I will watch for your review and photos!

It has been great chatting with you all and Missy, I too refer to you all as my Forum People when chatting with my FI! hehe

Sorry girls I've been MIA!!

SD-I too wanted to get married with the sand between my toes and the waves crashing feet away. Its always been a dream of mine. Plus it seems to be a little more private on the beach.

Lauren-SOOOO close sooo close!!

Fanny- your pictures are so beautiful!! You guys looked like you had a fabulous time!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
