Is 10pm too early to end the event?

At first, we thought everyone can venture to the disco after 10. Now, I am wondering if we should extend the event a 1/2 hour or 1 for more dancing. Does anyone know what time the disco closes on Monday?

I would like to extend the reception, but FI is opposed for budget reasons.

Thoughts?
We ended at 10 as well. You can definitely move the party to the lobby area (there's some sort of entertainment there every night) or to the disco, but they don't open that until about 10 or 10:30 if I remember correctly.

Does anyone know of anyone who's done a Shaman ceremony at the Paradisus? Or anywhere else for that matter? I figure if I am getting married in Mexico, it would be nice to embrace the culture and really like the sounds of a Shaman ceremony.

Welcome SMB&CRZ! Sorry, I don't have information on the Shaman ceremony.

From pictures, it looks like the walk from the stairs to the canopy is pretty short. What length of time was your processional music? We have 8 bm, 5 gm, groom (all walking separately) and 2 sets of parents. Maybe I am over thinking this and should just pick a few songs?

Btw, is there an ATM in the resort? Does it dispense USD or pesos?

Thank you!

For those of you that are going with an outside DJ, Did you send them the external vendor policy that SWANK sent you? Or did you just deal with it on your own. Perla said that I would have to follow his policy including the 15% of original tip. He did come back with a "slightly" lower quote but still no where near what I've received from others.

For the life of me I can't remember if there was an atm. We never needed one, but I don't remember seeing one either. Hopefully one of the others will reply. I'm useless. lol The walk down the stairs to the canopy is pretty short, but with all those people you might just want to have two or three songs prepared just to be safe. When we walked they started the music ahead of when they were supposed to and I was afraid the song was going end before I got up there. It worked out fine, but I was nervous!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
