Sorry for all the questions.
They were battery operated. I had about 20 total, half blue and half white. I bought the blue ones at Christmas Tree Shop and the white at Bed Bath and Beyond. I brought down fishing line to hang them up.

Becks,

I read a post that stated you had an excel to-do-checklist. I'm in works of making mine, and I'm wondering if you wouldn't mind sharing yours with me. I've been going through previous pages, looking for the downloadable version of it, but I can't find it.

If anyone else has one as well, if you're up for sharing your list, it would be helpful... i want to make sure all my ducks are in a row... you get so far and then you feel like you're forgetting something...

I was wodnering if any of you lovely ladies that are going the iPod route would be kind enough to share what you're playlist looks like. This is one aspect of the planning process that I havent even begun to dive into because I don't really know where to begin. I'd love some ideas, if you girls would be so kind.

I found Mark's suit at AHFashion online, it's 100%irish linen, it's nice and cool and it's really nice!! it's a natural beige colour, so it's light and airy, also, I found suits for our boys to match from Children's Place. Jake will be 3 at the end of April and Josh will be 1 in a couple weeks, and they both have little natural linen suits to match their Daddy, it's too cute!!! :)

My Fiancé Just got his suit this weekend. He has a friend that is a sales man for Hugo Boss so that is where he got it. And they already have the spring summer collection out.

Girls,

I have a question for those who used an outside DJ. I am using Carlos Mannia...Perla told us there is a $300 outside vendor fee. That said, SWANK (the hotel's dj) just emailed me their policy and charges for an outside vendor.

Is this policy/charge list the same thing as Perla's $300 charge? Please tell me that the the $300 is the total charge by the hotel for using the outside dj!

Also - the policy form has a place for us (bride/groom) to sign as well as the outside dj. Did you and your dj have to sign this form for the hotelhuh.gif

Thanks!

Hi Meredith and all other PRC brides

I apologize Im not that active on this thread, I dont have access to a computer alot of the time but I still like to check it out when I can.

We are experiencing the same situation with Luis from Swank. We initially emailed him asking for a quote in which he sent us one that was compeltly out of our budget.

We then proceeded to look at an outside vendor and contacted Carlos from Mannia DJ services. They were in our budget and we confirmed with Perla the outside fee was 300$. We then informed SWANK we were not going to be using him and he proceeds to tell us we owe him 15% of his original quote plus taxes and he is charging us an ampage fee based on consumption and a charge for him to be there.

We think this is completly unfair as we feel we should have been advised of a quote charge before he issued us that quote. If we knew we were going to have to pay for it then we never would have asked! Never in this entire wedding process planning have we had to pay for a quote.

We also think that when we confirmed it was 300$ for the outside vendor we feel we should have been informed about these other fees.

We have explained the situation to Perla and she is looking into it for us. I will let you know when I hear back from her. Hopefully she will be able to sort something out!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
