Hi girls,

Thank you for all of your help over the whole planning process. I know I didnt post much but I sure did get alot of inspiration and help from this forum. Reading all the past brides reviews really helped too, I will definelty post one when we get back.

We are all set to leave tomorrow, it was nice talking to Perla today. She laughed after I finished my questions and jokingly said " Oh dont worry, all you brides are the same, worry worry worry. Everything will be alright." haha made me laugh but I guess its very true.

Missy I will definelty tell her hello.

Sarah hang in there, we didnt get things sorted out until 3 weeks before the wedding. Be persistent and things should work out for you. I did the same thing as Lauren I just bought a calling card for 10 bucks and it gave me an hour from Canada.

Thanks Fanny, I have a ton of freckles, so the name is very suiting. I will try to figure out how to post pictures when I get back and Im sure you will agree on the name!!

Thanks for the wishes everyone, will post again when we return!!

Michelle :)

Hi girls -- I am leaving tomorrow morning for Mexico. I didnt feel like I could really plan the way I wanted to via email with perla so I booked a little trip. I wanted to be very familair with everything, and as our wedding is scheduled to take place the day after we arrive in July, I didnt want to have anything to worry about when we go down. I am kind of freaking out about meeting with Perla on Tuesday anyway though because I am not sure what questions to ask! I want to make sure I have all of my bases covered. This forum doesnt usually answer back right away, but if anyone reads this post and has any questions they'd like me to ask, or any reminders for my own questions, that would be great!! I'll check back before I go. Thanks girls!

Oh wow!! And I just realized that I'll be there for Freckles' wedding!! How exciting!

Hi Bumbles! Yes, we're doing a tasting. I have a meeting scheduled with Perla on Tuesday morning and she's supposed to walk me all around the resort and show me all of our options. I'll definitely report back -- I can't wait to get down there and meet her in person.

Hello Ladies,

Well, I'm finally married and it was a blast!! Thanks to everyone for all your support, advice and for just listening to ranting when needed!!! :)

Everything really did turn out wonderful (my rose petal aisle was looked over, but it was truly okay)!!!! :)

Missy, I realized once I was down there that I'd forgotten our sand ceremony wording which we had used about 4 different ones to get the wording we wanted, and then it struck me ask Perla for Missy's... so I explained the whole forum thing and told her that you would more than likely be okay if she could lend me your wording so we could have a base to work with yet again, and she tried so hard to find it all the while saying how sweet you were and how organized you were, she even showed me that she still had your last email "final email to Perla" or something like that. It was so nice, she thinks highly of you!!

Anyway girls, I just wanted to say thanks, you were all so helpful and for a while I was wishing I'd done this another way... as in get married here in Canada, but in the end, I wouldn't change a thing!!!! It really was perfect!!

Once we have our pictures back, I'll try and post some...

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
