Was this at the Capri? Because we are arriving on the Wednesday and then I was thinking of doing the welcome dinner on the Thursday as we expect one more couple that day. And if it would have the show, it would be great.

No, Capri is the Italian restaurant and is not very big. I bet it'd be hard to have space there reserved during a prime dinner time. The show takes place in a different area of the resort in its own room. They serve a buffet dinner with some of the shows. It is separate from where the regular buffet is.

Hey Girls,

I was wondering how long before/after the ceremony you had the photographer taking photos/videos? I have 5 hours and I wasn't sure when they should start/finish. The ceremony is at 3:30 and the reception starts at 5:00. I was thinking they should start at 2:00 and go till 7:00.

BUT...Are you usually in your dress an hour and a half before the ceremony? Do you usually have the first dance, speeches, cake cutting within the first 2 hours of the reception? I haven't really paid too much attention to the time lines of other weddings...any advise is much appreciated!

Thanks!

Meredith

Meredith - My ceremony was at 3:30 as well and I wasn't in my dress until about 2:30 - we didn't do any pics together before the ceremony but did do some individual ones! from about 4:30 - 6:30 we did pics - and then dinner started at 7:00 - I would say that our first dance was at about 8:30 - 9:00 -

Thinking if you were in your dress at 2:00 five hours would be plenty~

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
