I thought snorkeling was included in the AI package? Or is the excursion something different? Yamille, we will probably use one/both of these two companies for snorkeling and tours:

Mexican Blue Dream (departing from PDC where we'll be for the hm)

Mexico Blue Dream, Playa Del Carmen, Mexico

Alltournative

Alltournative - Off Track Adventures

I can't believe spring wedding season is approaching. Time flies!

Yeah snorkeling is included but I think it's different if it's a private boat that only takes out your guests? I need to find out. I was thinking if we wanted to do an excursion with guests type thing. hmm another thing to think about.
Time definately does fly!

Hey girls, check out Cancun and surrounding area tours and activities. They offer every tour imaginable. Obviously I haven't used them yet, but I'm planning to and can let you know how it goes when I get back. So far they are super fast at responding thru email and have offered my guests a discount if they book thru them because we booked one tour for 16 people. We'll see how it goes.

Ok, so I'm leaving on Monday for my wedding. I have emailed Perla twice about things and haven't gotten a response. I know she's just busy and is really fabulous, but I had to vent just a little! I might have to call her before I leave because I need to know the cost of something. sad.gif Stressing just a little...

Kelly - Have a great time!!!

Does anyone know if there is a limit to the number of times you can eat at the ala carte restaurants?

I am also wondering what people do for entertainment on Wednesday nights if the bar/disco is closed? I have seen this mentioned a few times and am a little concerned as our wedding is on a Wednesday, we were hoping to go over to the bar/lounge once our reception was over.

Thanks

Hello all!

Great site! I am so glad I found it. I am newly engaged and considering the Paradisus. How do you all feel about Perla? I have had trouble getting feedback from her. Also, must you book through a travel agent? I wanted to get possible dates before booking.

Thanks!

Jeannie

Hi Jeannie,

You do not NEED to book through a travel agent to have your wedding at the paradisus. I chose to do this so that I did not need to be in charge of my guests.Too stressful for me. I gave them that option. They are also free to book on their own. I did that before finding this site but had I not I would have used one of the TA's on here because they are so destination wedding savvy. You can click up top and see.

As far as Perla- I think she is extremely overworked from what everyone has gathered. Most brides have said that she is really on point when it gets down to the day of the wedding though. I emailed her a lot initially and then figured once my date got closer I would get in contact with her again. I would wait a week and if you want to just check on an availability of a date then maybe call her if you have not done so already.

Good luck with the planning! These pages are full of really useful info

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
