Paradisus Riviera Brides - POST HERE!

Unfortunately our costs were airfare and rooms combined - we booked a package through Air Canada Vacations so everything was together! I know that we did have a few people book separately and the best rates were actually those that are online (vs. what the resort was going to give us).

Hi Madbride, my TA quoted for a 3-night stay, $535 pp (incl taxes, airport transfer) in the basic garden-view room. For the reception, I priced out a cocktail hh w/ a few hor'ds and a buffet dinner to be about $130 pp incl taxes and gratuity. I hope that helps!

Hi Paradisus girls! I just got back early this morning and wanted to say hi and my wedding at Paradisus, despite all of the craziness with Dreams Tulum, was absolutely amazing! I'm going to write a detailed review and post some pics as soon as I get a chance to recover! Perla was amazing and everything was gorgeous and I could not have planned it any better had I had more time!!

Brooke I am so happy for you! Congratulations! It makes me feel really good that even though you pulled it together in a short amount of time at the Paradisus that you were pleased. I have sort of put the planning aside for a bit cause I am overwhelmed with other things and can't make any decisions and decided I needed some space.

Maybe I'll just show up and decide on everything there?...

Thats what I did, haha, and it did work out amazingly! I still took all of my stuff I had for DT and they set it up exactly like I imagined it would be. I totally felt overwhelmed during the planning, and just know that no matter what happens, it will be everything you dreamed it would be!

Yamille, that's pretty much my plan at this point. Everyone keeps asking me about all the details and I just say we're deciding when we get there. I've heard so many great things about Perla and she gets back to me so quickly when I do have a question, that I'm not worried at all about deciding on things there.

Congrats Brooke! Sounds like everthing was amazing - so glad that everything worked out! You were such a trooper with the whole DT thing I was hoping that everything ran smoothly.

Perla is truly wonderful and you truly can do everything when you get down there. I am just sooo anal and anxious all the time that I knew for myself that I would worry myself sick if I didn't see everything long before the wedding.

And planning is always overwhelming. I thought I would be organized 5 weeks before - and I am pretty much there - but still so many little things!

In terms of November 13 - I am the next original Paradisus girl to get married but not sure if there are other DT transplants!

You could totally not plan anything until you get down there, it was so easy. Unless, of course, you want to do the menu cards and welcome letters with your welcome dinner location! I'm getting ready to post a thread with a few non-pro teasers pics and a few from Jean-Marcus!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
