She was adamant about this. I will post the band info when I get it. I figure even if it's their rate plus the $300 outside vendor fee it may still be less....
Thank you so much that would be a tremendous help.

I'm using AJUA and they are cheaper even after paying their fee of 110 dollars for setting up the musicians.... for the MAriachi's they charge 375.00... so after paying for AJUA fee of 110.00 + 375.00+300.00 outside vendor fee it's only 785.00 much cheaper. Search the net for AJUA weddings.
I am definitely going to look into them. Thank You!!!!

Hello,

So my next question is about photography.

The packages the Paradisus offers for photography are very high for what you get.

I am all for paying $ for the photographer but I want to get my $’s worth and it doesn’t seem like you do w/ the company they use. At least I don’t think so………

Does anybody have any photographers they could recommend?

Thanks 

You should use the search function for this. There are a lot of good photographers down there and some are members of the forum. I'm sure you will find dozens of threads so you can check out different photogs. Also, check out other brides wedding reviews. They sometimes contain some professional pics so you can get an idea of different styles and decide what you like!

You have been so helpful to everyone w/ the information you have provided. Thanks again. I also like the new pic of you and your FI.

My mom and I are going to be down for a site visit Nov 14-18: It's probably too early, but will you be there yet?

Aweee thanks! We are getting super excited - hard to believe that we are less than 6 weeks away! Just working on the last few DIY projects - Welcome Books, Menu Cards etc. and the details of the day!

I will post a planning thread in the next couple of weeks ladies! I promise! And of course a detailed review - since I know how helpful this forum has been for me in my planning!

We will just miss you RobinHood! We don't arrive until the 23rd unfortunately -I am soo excited for your site visit - it's going to be awesome!

Hello all! So, I am another one of those displaced DT brides going to PRC. Not that I'm complaining, I heard it's fabulous.

The one question I have is....is anyone getting married on 10/27/08...or is there some other thread I should go to that show all wedding days?

Thanks!

I am sorry for your displacement (that sounds weird). I will tell you from someone who has been to the PRC - you have nothing to worry about.

As far as I know there is no one on here getting married on 10/27. I believe that I am the next PRC original bride - I think there are a couple others that have moved over since DT closed.. but I dont think any have that date!

If you need any help let us know!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
