Oh and Perla is really the best thing about the Paradisus - she is sooo wonderful about requests, emails etc. Ladies I am getting so excited!

Missy,
I'm getting excited for you! I'm getting excited for me too, but I'm really excited to hear all about your wedding and see your pics after you get back. So, first I'm counting the days til your wedding and then I'm counting the days until mine!elefant.gifelefant.gifelefant.gifelefant.gif

And, congrats on the house. Its a lot at once I'm sure but so exciting!

Perla is really awesome. I can't wait to meet her in person.

Also starting to freak out a little about how much more expensive this is going to be than I originally though...
Hey, Jcoop, when is your wedding date? Just curious...

I booked 9 months in advance. I wanted a May wedding and there was only 1 Saturday left, but we didn't get it b/c we didn't make a decision in time. Keep in mind that Paradisus only has 1 wedding a day.

Oh, I hadn't thought about this! I'll be there from Friday to Tuesday, May 19th. After that, no idea! Not sure what to do about the hm.

We are staying at Paradisus for 13 days, 5 before the wedding and a full week after. We decided to get a Royal Service Suite and I can't wait!

We booked our date about 9 months in advance as well. We were getting married in St Lucia at first, but an increase in expense changed our plans. We were so lucky Paradisus had our date available!

We put our deposit down a year in advance which was good cause it allowed me to secure the 2007 rates for some stuff...

We are honeymooning over Christmas and New Years - spending 10 days touring Chilean Wine Country and then a week at Disney World! Cannot Wait!thewave.gifthewave.gifthewave.gifthewave.gif

i know that DJ versus ipod has been covered but I am wondering for those of you who have had the DJ...was it all mexican music or was it similiar to a canadian/american wedding with a good mix of oldies and new music? Also has anyone used the photographers from paradisus or do they have anyone else thats decent on the budget theyd like to recommend? Did anyone have daniella as a wedding planner? how was she?

Hi girls! I'm a displaced Dreams Tulum bride due to the closure. Looks like I'm going to now be a Paradisus Riviera bride! I am at a loss, have no idea where to start the research or planning, and we leave in 4 days! I've been trying to read this thread to find out a little about the resort, but truthfully, I'm exhausted! I planned my wedding for DT, and now to start over, I can't do it!

I'm getting ready to go to bed, I'm so tired from the last couple of crazy, stressful days! I just wanted to say hi!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
