Paradisus Riviera Brides - POST HERE!

Recommended Posts

Welcome Back, Jeanne!!! I am soooo happy to read that everything went so well, and you looked GORGEOUS!! Your pictures were amazing, and your flowers... WOW!! I am starting to freak a little, considering I am just over 2 months away!!!!! I got the invitations out last week, and they look AWESOME!!! I will see if I can get some pics taken of them, and post them... Here's where I am and what I am having issues with:

  • need to decide on flowers (I LOVE Peonies, just don't think that can work on the beach in Mexico in June)
  • need to decide on which DJ to go with (Swank? The outside vendor, who's name is escaping me right now? ...which one is less expensive??)
  • need to decide on cake (Flavor and decor)
  • need to get b'maid's gifts (Thinking about spa wraps or robes)
  • need to get welcome dinner organized (Great idea about reserving a restaraunt... there's no extra cost, is there?!?)
  • need to get welcome basket ideas/ items (What are y'all doing??)

Um... do you think I have enough to do!?! Should I be freaking out!?!?

....oh, but the BEST thing?? I picked up my dress yesterday!! Y'all, it's STILL as beautiful as it was six months ago when I bought it!! I AM SO EXCITED!! :)

I have to say, this is the GREATEST website I have ever found... have NO IDEA how I found it, but I am so glad to know you girls! I promise to not be so MIA anymore!! :)

Chat soon~

Kim

Jeanne - welcome home & congrats!!! Your pics are beautiful...can't wait for the read the full story!!!

you girls have been so busy! woo-hoo! i still miss all the fun over here, but we finally decided to get married at Dreams Tulum so I've been busy getting everything all set on that front. Just finished the STDs (and then realized I had a minor typo...oops!) and our wedding website. Wanted to send out a HUGE thank you to Becks and Missy because I totally "borrowed" from your sites (which are SO much better than mine, but oh well). smile03.gif

i'll check in again soon (especially since becks reminded me how great you PRC brides are!!!)

Neen your website looks great! And no worries about the cribbing - that's what it's there for!

My TA was able to get us two nights comped for a site visit - now we just have to figure out when to go! Maybe August 9th? wink wink..

Oh come on! Granparents celebrate 60th anniversaries every 60 years! I'm only getting married once!

(that really is the most pathetic thing I think I've ever written)

I know you won't be able to make it, but it would have been sooooo great! We'll have to plan a reunion tour next after we've all done our wedding things.

It would have been sooo fun!

On another note - wondering whether anyone has given any thought to any live music - mariachi, band etc. We were thinking something for the ceremony might be nice - although not sure I want to pay $750 for 45 minutes..

Yeah. We're thinking about the jazz trio for the cocktail hour, but that's a mighty expensive 45 minutes.

So, we're going to meet with Mannia when we're down there and see what he says. We may end up having him DJ the whole thing.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
