You go Becks on that comped room, thats the way to make up for all the charges for the wedding hehehe.

Cant wait to see your silk flowers LeShay. Im doing real but did consider silk at one point (for the bouquet and BM bouquet) I was worried about packaging them properly and the price was about equal to the real at the hotel.

We are doing favors but we are waiting to buy something when we get there. We figured something local would be nice. Since we will be there so many days in advance I figure I could shop around and haggle. I didnt want to get too crazy since we are also doing OOT bags.

Im so excited I received the damask fabric I had ordered from Etsy for the ring bearer pillow. If I have enough engergy I might do it tonight. Although I dont have the ribbon to attach to finish it but thats simple enough to do later on. I will post it when Im done.

I love the idea of favours from Mexico! That's a really cute idea and you can certainly get a great deal if you buy a larger number! I am excited to see your silk flowers too LeShay - we are going with real I think but only because we are only really doing my bouquet and my sis (MOH) - I think for the boutinierres I am going to do starfish!

Just out of curiousity - How big of a group will you guys each have? We are thinking about 50 - we have 35 booked so far and maybe another 10 or so..

We're figuring around 50. Maybe a few more, maybe a few less.

I've ordered my bouquet from Angels, along with my hair flowers (little tiny single jasmine on hair pins that I can tuck here and there - so excited!!). I won't have them until late May or early June, but I'll share when I get them. But frankly, the bouquet included with the package is white roses - totally not me. And the cost for something more colorful was $100 so I figured what the heck - I'll use Angels, and the price was the same!!

Well ladies, I am leaving in the morning and I have a terrible cold...hopefully the warm sunny weather will make me feel better quickly.

I do not have the email to the florist. Elisa forwarded me the photos of the vases from the florist.

I had not seen a detail sheet as of yesterday so I used Missy's as a guide and inserted all my information and sent it to Elisa to review. She seemed really shocked and asked me where I got this form to use!

I will check in when I return.

But she did suggest we go with the Wish and add on, rather than the other way around.

I was quoted something closer to $3,000 for Victor de Alba!!!! I am working on getting an outside vendor, so any help or advice would be great! thanks, girls!! :)

I am using a FANTASTIC photog from Houston... he is wonderful, and I highly recommend him! His cost is reasonable, and gives you full rights to your pics after the wedding... i'm getting him and a 2nd photographer for the rehearsal dinner, all day the wedding day, and a session on the day after (we're doing a TTD Session, and I am sooo excited about it!) I am sure he'd be more than happy to travel for your wedding, too... his website is: J. Cogliandro Photographers - International Award Winning Photographers

Sol Tamargo is another fantastic photographer, and she's located in Playa... I am becoming slightly obsessed with photographers... I just love photography!

On another note, I am starting to freak out a little reading everyone's posts... worried2.gif I know, I need to relax, and know that our wedding will be great! I just need to focus, and take it one day at a time!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
