Paradisus Riviera Brides - POST HERE!

Recommended Posts

I just returned this week and figured I should participate in a review. I loved loved loved the resort. I already told everyone that 2 years from now we're all going back, for our nuptials! I met with Sandra and she was helpful. Even sending me over a huge pdf file explaining things in further detail. When we were there Adventure Photos was giving away a free photo session and if you liked any of the pics you'd buy. We took advantage of it and they came out great! Here's a link, they're kinda tiny but you get the idea ;) Also, we visited the RIU and overlooked the dreams and was rest assured the NOW was exactly what we wanted. The tranquility ambience of it and all. We bought 6 photos costing us a crazy penny at $15 but we have engagement photos done! lol. Any questions please feel free to ask :)

ok.. so just a couple short months left for me and I am actually beginning to get the jidders a bit now.

So I have 30 booked and we are hoping thats all that will come. Lol. I actually wanted to chat and get some input from you ladies out there on a couple of things. I'm a little picky about my shoes, and always thought I would be getting married in heels. I am now thinking of teeny heels, to flats cause of the sand. I initally thought of going barefoot when I walk down the isle, and then save the heels for later, though I noticed that the flooring on the patio area has little grooves for heels to get stuck in.

I know this issue seems small, but what is everyone doing out there?... I guess it would be more personal preference, but it would be nice to have some ideas.

Hair and make-up. Does anyone know if in the salon they offer hair and make up for the bride?...

Anyone know if there are steamcleaning services for our outfits?...

Anyone know when the resort will be contacting me to discuss all the details on my wedding. It is for Dec 6th and I haven't heard from anyone. I dread calling, as I did one other time and I was passed around.. and I litterally am not joking for 17 mins (as per my cell phone read) until they found someone that could speak better english to assist me.

It may have been luck of the draw as I have called before with no issue, but again I need to allocate lots of time to calling and not to mention the patience.

Angie, how is the diet going for you. Can you believe one month left for you... I am nervous for you... but am looking forward to seeing your pics when you get back.

I just found the resorts profile on FB. You guys should check it out... Love to hear from everyone so keeping chattin'

Morning!! Yes, tomorrow will be one month for me!!

As far as shoes goes I am wearing a wedge flip flop for the ceremony. I was also going to go barefoot but when I went to alter my dress I would have to either alter it to the high heel shoes or barefoot and I also want to wear a high heel at the reception. The alterations person said if I altered it to the high heel and went bare foot for the ceremony that I'd have to pick the dress up when walking down the aisle.  No thank you!

For hair and make up I am having the spa do it as it is included in my package but my sister will be there as a back up plan. I originally was going to hire someone to come on site but the cost was crazy plus the vendor fee was WAY too much.

They do offer steam cleaning of your dress and the grooms suit but check your package.

I was down there in July and they basically told me that weddings get planned about 3 weeks out. It was hard for me to understand at first but I get it now. They do weddings pretty much everyday so I'm trusting it will all work out fine.  My only issue is that a month out, I still don't know what the cost is! Yikes!

We have 61 people and we thought we would only get 35!!

The diet is basically shot to heck! I just came back from my bachelorette weekend where I drank and ate way too much. Also I hate to work out but have been forcing myself but its even harder when I never see any results. Ugggh!

I'm FB friends with them!

Getting nervous too but so excited. Packing is not going to be fun at all!

Hello Annkho. I am going barefoot down the aisle and got pretty wedges to wear with my dress beause of the gaps in the slats on the patio. I had a really hard time finding a pair that would look bride-y and be comfortable, but I finally found ones that are great. Link below.

Ok so reading through this huge thread, I am wondering if there is an option fto do your reception in the buffet restaruant.  I know a Jade this is an option that doesn't cost anything extra, you can't have music or dancing, but they will seperate the are off for you.

Does anyone know if Sapphire offers this option?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
