Paradisus Riviera Brides - POST HERE!

Recommended Posts

Basically it was the same stuff that was said on trip advisor.. they had two brides that were married there in the last two weeks that were hysterical re: the service? Im just torn because I dont know what to do... El Dorado was our first choice initially (Besides pricing) but they are willing to match it, which sounds too good to be true!

OH no! This is soooo upsetting. I didn't even know TripAdvisor had comments on the new Sappire. What a shame because my FI and I spent countless hours on TripAdvisor looking for the perfect resort and Paradisus had such great reviews. I wish there was as least ONE good review!

I have sent e-mails for a week and have gotten no response. I have to order printed itineraries asap. If you talk to one of them, would you mind asking? Thanks :)
I'm sorry, I didn't see this until now, I'm glad you were able to get your questions answered!

Really?? I checked out the reviews and while they are not very good, I think that during a transition like this, some problems are to be expected. AM won't let the resort tank, but like any ownership change it may take a couple of months to get all of the kinks worked out and to teach the staff the way that AM does things at their resorts. I didn't look to see when your wedding is, but if you have some time, you may want to hold off and see what happens. But I completely understand too :)

oh Lauren, I don't envy your decision that you will have to make but do what you feel is right. If you think you will be stressing out for 6 months then it's probably not worth it. I think Jill is probably right about the kinks though. It's always hard working for someone new and hopefully that's all it is and everything will be perfect by your wedding.

Hi ladies - I've been keeping up on the TripAdvisors for the resort as well since we will be going there for a friend's wedding next weekend (memorial day) - and I have to say I am a little nervous about staying at this resort as a guest - I can only imagine what the bride is going through. She had no idea what was going on until I told her a couple weeks ago.

I promise to report back to you as soon as I get back - with a full report - as a bride and as a guest :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
