Okay- I am having a mini freak out. It's five months until the wedding and I haven't really done anything. We have our date booked and our room booked and have a travel agent and a room block. I sent out invitations. Oh yeah and got a photographer (ok I did a few things). But I haven't done anything for the wedding. We didn't pick a package or decide on location or music or anything. Should I have done this already? I don't even have a clue how to get started planning the wedding part. Are you planning beforehand? How do you know what you want or what you need? Should I be asking the coordinators questions? I don't even know what to ask. How did you start figuring out what you need/want for the ceremony and reception?

I haven't used Quick Trim - i'm kind of hesitant to be honest. You can get all natural cleanses at the health food store or whole foods that don't compromise your vitamins and nutrients that your body needs to function. You can also start with Detox tea by Yogi and see how your body reacts and then move on from there.
My trainer told me your body hits a plateau after doing the same routine for a while, so you might want to change it up to a different "sweat fest" for a month or so and incorporate some pilates or yoga to help get more oxygen to your muscles - which also gives you that nice, long, lean look in the long term :) good luck!!!

For those interested in a great weight loss program, I'm currently doing Ideal Protein (www.idealprotein.com). It's all about changing your daily diet and it's a great way to change your eating habits for good. The results I had were amazing! I lost over 20 pounds and they just melted off. I am eating a lot healthier now and I've never felt better in my life. My fiance's father was so impressed that he began the diet and he dropped about 20-30 pounds and his doctor's are amazed because his health has improved (he had a quadruple bypass a few years ago) and he's still sticking to the Ideal Protein diet.

I've been doing this now for over 2 years, however the weight came off quickly in the beginning. I weigh less now than I did in high school and because most of the weight that I lost was body fat, the clothes sizes are even smaller than what I wore in high school. I didn't do this diet for the weight loss, I actually have stomach problems and this diet is good for that. The nice side effect was that I also ending up losing a ton of weight and now I'm happily resting somewhere between a size 2-4 and I'm 5'9"! I do warn people, though, that it requires a lot of cooking and eating fresh veggies and lean meats, but other than that, this is the healthiest diet I've ever been on. I don't know where I'd be without it. Also, in the beginning, you do have to purchase their food packets, which is a little pricey. It starts at $81/week and trickles down from there.

I've always been a regular at the gym, however the weight never came off. Any trainer/nutritionist I've ever had always told me that the gym would take care of 30% of my weight loss, but what I ate had more to do with what I loss than anything else. I never liked hearing that because I wanted to eat whatever and figured I'd just workout harder, but that didn't work. I'm realizing now that what you put into your body is more important than anything else. I'm so in-tune with my body at this point that I know if I eat a ton of sugar, I'll be paying for it later! Hope this helps for anyone out there looking to lose those pounds before the big day.

Hello everyone! I just got back from my wedding at the Paradisus then my honeymoon in Tulum. I will be posting a full length review of everything soon. However, I had to write this to WARN other brides. The main reason that I booked the Paradisus over other resorts was the fact that they tote that they only will have one wedding per day. I received that information not only from destinationweddings.com, but also the resort themselves. THIS IS NOT TRUE!!!! There was a total of 3 weddings, including mine on my day, and to be honest....it was chaos. They honestly only have enough staff for 1 wedding a day, and I feel terrible for saying this as Daniella is so sweet and overworked, but I felt it my duty to make other brides aware. My number 1 recommendation to other brides is to put a friend or family member that you trust, not in the wedding party, in charge that day. I had a friend sort of helping me but if I would have given her all the information besides Daniella it would have worked out. Unfortunately, Daniella was attending to 2 other weddings besides mine all of which had the same 4 pm time and I was basically without a wedding coordinator for 3/4 of my event. As I said I will be posting a full review including everything that went wrong so that other Brides can avoid these mistakes.

How was the beach at the Paradisus? I have heard it is a little dark and not the normal green/blue. Is this true?

I am still deciding between Iberostar and Paradisus. Iberostar promises one wedding per day per resort.

I look forward to your review!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
