Hi everyone, I want to have my wedding at Dreams Cancun and have contacted the coordinators via the e-mails on their website and it has been more than one week since I contacted them and they have not responded.

I contacted headquarters and they gave me the same e-mail addresses. Any suggestions on how I can check for availability of the hotel for my wedding date? I am freaking out because it seems like they are booking fast..(and they do one wedding a day right?)

Your help is much APPRECIATED!

They are very slow to respond. I would send another email and just state that you are still waiting for a response on your first email. I think I had to email them 3 or 4 times before I actually got a response. Good Luck!!!

As dc said it does take time. Unfortunately patience is something I have had to unwillingly learn through this process. I would give them another week and then send another email. As my date is getting closer I have noticed the response is getting a little bit quicker (maybe just coincidence). Any questions maybe some of us can try to help with? Besides getting you the date you want.

Now that I've done the contract and Claudia has sent me all the information I've asked for, I find I don't have any questions for them and not sure as it gets closer if I will or not. I was thinking of just finalizing everything when I'm there. Anyone else do this? Anything they need to know more than a few days in advance?

From what I have read you can make most decisions when you get there. I have been letting them know things we decide as we decide them just so they know. The only things I can think of they may need to know is if you are doing a cocktail hour or reception where you wanted to do it. Other then that I would think (and I think PaulaV had said) you can decide everything when you arrive.

Through my travel agent, I was finally able to get a response from Claudia at Dreams Cancun regarding available dates in May 2009. My date was taken, but I already knew that through reading this forum (hi hartyt509! :)). We are going with May 14th instead, so we'll see ya there Marie, unless we find out prices are too outrageous and are forced to keep looking elsewhere for the sake of our guests (I would be SO bummed out ... I've had my heart set on Dreams now for months!!).

So without further ado, for those interested, the remaining dates (as of April 28th) for Dreams Cancun May 2009 weddings are:

5, 6, 7, 10, 11, 12, 18, 19, 20, 21, 26, 27, 28 and 31

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
