I am feeling much better now, thank you.
I kept changing things as I would find things out from the forum, but the things I changed are on their site now.

I decided I wanted to send her a deposit, after I did I have peace of mind and I left her alone for a few months :)
I paid the deposit in 2007 and I had 2007 pricing, but my wedding was early 2008. I did sign the form when I paid it, but I changed a few more things and then changed some things when we got there.

When we met with her, she had to write out receipts for every item to hand into their billing department that I had to sign after we reviewed the final decisions.

How did you send the money over ? did you use PAY PAL or an equivalent ? And was it Dreams that told you how much to send ?

I paid half of what I thought my total would be.

I tried to do a bank wire transfer through my bank several times to two differing account from the list, and I could not get it to work either time!

My bank was even the middle guy for one of the transactions on their end.

I know people have had the wires work for them.

We went round and around and they confirmed and we confirmed and no louchk, so she had to make special arrangements for me to pay via credit card, which I was ademant about since I had to send info through email.

SO... I would advise to try the bank wire transfer.

We were married on a Saturday and checked out on Wednesday, that is when we settled the balance on our credit card.

The contracts are not final until they meet with you when you are there.
It is good to have most of it decided and now they have all the options on their website, so you can make most decisions.
The other thing I did was look carefully at previous DC brides pictures to be sure to ask for certain things.

This may not be what you want to hear, it was advice I also received...but know that about a month before your wedding date you will receive quick turnarounds on your emails.
They have so many events each week I can understand how weddings that are far out don't take priority.

When I met with Claudia I realized I was worried about nothing.
She had a folder full of our correspondence and pictures I sent.
She made suggestions when I told her my ideas and she is the expert.

So, don't worry, it will be perfect!
Thanks for those encouraging words. I know she is busy and current weddings take priority. I would expect nothing less than that for my own wedding so I totally understand. I do feel better now that the date is held and my contract is in the works everything else can be negotiated at a later date.

Thanks for posting this Lucy!! I have seen that most girls paid through wire transfer, did anyone pay through credit card in addition to Paula? How did you have it securely done Paula? In this attachment, it has a credit card auth form-- do you fax it or email it?

I am sure you can pay then.
I think there were some brides that paid their deposit about a month before the wedding.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
