Travel with a lap top

So, I just thought I would post all this to save you all from some embarrasment. My FI and I went to Canada the beginning of this month. We for some reason got searched at customs. On top of them going through everything I brought including my underwear and bras, they opened up my FI laptop which I happened to be carrying. They started going through it which apparently is legal for them to do to help stop child porn. (I guess I look the type?) In the past I have sent my FI some "spicy" pictures. He travels a lot so anyway not the point. So, there I am standing by myself in this little cubicle (my FI is in the one next to me) and the Customs dude is going through all the pics of me. Talk about freakin' embarrassing. So, I just thought I would let you know that if you are traveling with a laptop I would erase any "spicy" material before the trip

and no offense canadians to what im gonna say but I HAAAATE the canadian/american border... oh my gosh they are a bunch of powertrip hungry douches that run that thing.. i swear i could practicaly walk acrosss the mexican customs but soon as it involves canada in the slightest i get hassled... im actually banned for a year because i tried to go up and take pictures in canada with no work permit. EVEN IF YOU DONT GET PAID. its so lame

OHHH another tip... when you bring in your cell phones.. you can darn well believe that they look through all your pictures... i caught one guy (umm lets just say he was a friend of nancy's) and he was lookin at my phone for just like 2 minutes which was giving me problems. and all of a sudden he started laughing because i had a really funny photo in there that someone had sent me and i called him out on it... its not like i even have photos on my phone really so no biggie. but just goes to show they will look through your photos any chance they get... hell i know i would if i was working there too so i dont get mad about it hahaha

That just does not seem right. That they can go thru something that personal. That would be like some one going thur your PDA that (most of the time) has very private/ life information..... It just does not seem right.......
