I just booked my photographer and I was wondering what you all think of his work? His website is: Brian Design - Photography & Website Design by Brian Nejedly - Ocho Rios, Jamaica

We are going to hire him for 6 hours on our wedding day and also do a TTD shoot the following day. I can't wait for that!

Also, I'm wondering if 6 hours is enough time? How long before the ceremony do photographers typically show up?

Congrats! We spoke to Brian during our photog hunt and he seemed really easy to work with and very responsive! His work is very nice! 6 hours should be enough time, depending on how much pre-wedding stuff you want. Robin was with us the whole day... I started getting ready around 1pm (I think) for our 4:30p wedding. If she wasn't staying with us, then she probably could've shown up 1.5 hours before the wedding to get some setup shots, getting dressed shots, and shots of Sam. Depends if you want hair and makeup shots I guess.

Thanks for posting Brian's website. I've seen his name on another website for vendors in Jamaica but they didn't have a link so I could see his work. I think his work is pretty nice - I love documentary style shots. Some of his shots look blurry to me - I don't know if that is on purpose or not though. But generally - his wedding shots look good. Do you mind sharing pricing info? I was looking into Sungold, Jamaica Wedding Photography by Paula and Damian : Photojournalism, Tensing Pen, Montego Bay, their work is real nice too but I haven't booked anyone yet.

Sungold has a package for 5 hrs which I think would be adequate - 1 hr prior to the ceremony, 30-45 min ceremony, 1.5-2 hrs pics on the beach - 1-1.5 hr dinner/reception. So I think 6 hours would be even beter.

His pricing is actually on his website under "information." Their is a pdf file you can open with detailed pricing. I'm getting package number two, a high resolution cd with all the images, dvd slideshow, and a couple of copies of the hard cover album (he sent me an example of this and I love it!). Oh, and I'm doing a TTD shoot the next day. I have to say that his customer service is A++++. I've bugged him so many times with so many questions and he always gets back to me right right away. That is such a breathe of fresh air compared to my wedding coordinator!

Thanks for breaking the time thing down for me. It makes me feel alot better!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
