Towels, Shirts or Hats? for my OOT bags...

Recommended Posts

I'm going with hats! Actually I was thinking you may even want to consider visors. A LOT of people forget sunhats on vacation and one DW we went to in the Bahamas had these really cute visors and even though we got two (one for each of us) we're always fighting over them even now. They pack up small and they are very tasteful - navy blue with a little embroidary palm tree/beach and just the location. I love them!

My second choice is towels - very luxurious and I'm sure everyone would love them!

My concern about shirts is actually sizing. Trying to size people can be very tricky. You want the shirts to fit but you also don't want to offend people by giving them a larger shirt... even if that's the size they wear! Crazy? yes. True? maybe. But honestly it's such a fantastic OOT bag already I bet no matter what you choose it will be a big hit. What's the least expensive?

I am torn, I would do both the shirts and towels...but I voted for the shirts.

At my friend's DW we all got these hot pink t-shirts with the wedding logo and it was great to see people down the beach wearing them. You instantly knew that they were with the group.

I like the idea of the towel cause it is something they could definitely use again at home. It would be a great keepsake.

It Is Funny That You Asked This Question, Because I Am Going Through The Same Thing. I Want Hand Towels Because Towels Will Be Too Heavy, But I Can't Find Any For A Reasonable Price. Anyway... Maybe Hand Towels/golf Towels Might Be A Better Alternative. Please Let Me Know If You Find An Affordable Place. Good Luck!1

I love the idea of the shirts - except for the sizing thing. I guess you could send out a question with your RSVPs...

But if the sizing is a pain, I'd go with hats - most hotels provide towels, and they are so bulky to pack and carry.

I'm totally biased because we did towels, but they were a BIG hit! Everyone used them the whole wedding, even though the resort supplied towels... ours were nicer. They were heavy, but (and I think we talked about this) could you have them shipped to your WC/hotel? Since it is Hawaii, the company would probably ship there for you, and you wouldn't have to worry about carrying them. Might be a little more expensive shipping, but less stress. T-shirts are great, but sizing might be a problem. Your OOT bags sound awesome, btw!

I was thinking about hand towels too but i have to say i asked a bunch of my friends (guests LOL) and they were like "who the F wants a hand towel?, what are we going to do with that?" i was like, hhhmmm - that is a good point! can't lay on it, can't use it to bath, etc...unless you are catering to a huge group of golfers - that would be perfect for them! Jenn did amazing beach towels and the place she used seems to be the most affordable i can find so far. here is the link Beach Towels by Cannon Wholesale manufacturer of custom embroidery beach towel

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
