I think you should reduce the size of pictures people are allowed to post. There are some people who use really large pictures, and when they are posting several times in the same thread, the thread gets taken over by their pictures, not the information, which is what we all come here for." and not expect us to give it back. Like family we are going to disagree but it how we agree to disagree that makes us family.

There is a way to voice your opinion. I personally was offended when i read this and as you can see I asked if my siggy was offensive. So we are just commenting on the statement that was given to us.

WE ARE A HONEST BUNCH AND THAT IS WHY I L0VE BDW
I understand what you mean. It is always so hard to convey feelings properly in writing! I never saw the original (pre-edited) title either so I honestly can't comment on that. Catherine - I hope I did not offend you (or anyone else!)! I certainly didn't mean to and if I did I apologize oops.gif

All I meant was that a lot of people who are new to the forum don't understand all the features. I agree that the original message is written in a not very nice tone and should have been phrased more as a question.

And I am happy we are an honest bunch of ladies (and gentlemen), so I guess that's why I thought I should post my opinion as well...

P.S. I happen to love your dancing sig and I happen to love all our sigs (including my own!)!

Just going to agree with most everyone on here. Most of us aren't here only for the information, we're here because of the friendships we've made. Hell, my wedding was over 6 months ago ... I'm certainly not here to learn how to make wedding invites! I'm here to visit and catch up with my BDW buddies. I enjoy seeing the siggys and personal info. on here.

Also, in my siggy I have links to my wedding review, pics, and video - so for those that ARE looking for info., my siggy makes it quite easy. Double bouns. And you may not care, but I know there are others out there that want to see how far along I am in my pregnancy, hence that ticker.

However I am sure she now knows that she can shut them off using her account. But I do feel bad that she might not come back because of this thread. The truth of the matter is that there are lots of wonderful people and lots of great info on this forum (yay - us!) and I hate the idea that there is someone out there thinking we're a bunch of b*tches sad.gif
while I do agree with you, Kash (and love ya!), I think the response would have been much different had the questrion actually been asked instead of attacking the way this forum is run.

Totally agree. I thought the tone was pretty harsh in the first post. i don't think we attacked her. But, I totally understand how we shouldn't all jump on a newbie just because they don't know everything about the forum. I think for the most part we are pretty good about that.

No offense taken. that is the point I am trying to make. If she had concerns then ask about it dont voice an opinion in a rude manner and not expect grown men and women not to reply. We are emotional people and that is why this forum is so close and after you get married you continue to stay because you build friendships and bonds that go past BDW (sorry Hostess) but we care and share on this forum and that is why our significants dont understand when we are on here we are family.

We are protective of our families and Tammi is our Host/Mother. She set the rules and if you dont like the rules then OH WELL

I see your point and have to agree. I guess I was just saying that if it HAD been written in a more appropriate manner than it's not a totally unreasonable question. That being said this message wasn't written in the nicest of language.

(and I love you too!)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
