I have a 2:00 wedding ceremony and a 6:30 dinner reservation at the Mammee Restaurant. There are 19 of us at the resort. . .but that is all I know! I know nothing about decorations. . .what to do wit hthe guests between the ceremony and reception dinner. . .and I get no responses from Chandlyn. Any words of wisdom out there?

Hello my fellow Chester county resident! Are you snowed in too? We are getting married at the Riu. There have been some great threads about this. If you go up the search and go under Jamaica and search for this, there should be a bunch of options. As far as decorations, you can check out Cali's pics. She just got married there. Oh, and pouchie just got back, and someone else. There is a girl there now getting married, so when she comes back, she might have tons of pics of decorations. As far as Chandlyn goes, I heard that when it is closer to your wedding, she will get back to you sooner. Relax, it will be okay! So far, I have heard nothing but good things about the ROR and weddings.

Hi... as a 2009 Riu bride I don't have a ton of info for you.

But I know there is a whole thread from a while back of people with early ceremony times looking for ideas... http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t8501 (not sure hot to make the link work... but it it doesn't search the Jamaica thread for All RiuOR Noon or Earlier Brides)

Also if you look through the major ROR thread there are previous posts on arches, flowers and other decorations. I may have some of the stuff saved so if you want to PM with your email address I can forward you what I have.

And like the girls suggested.... look for previous (or soon to be) ROR brides. Everyone is wonderful at posting reviews full of pictures and ideas!

Good luck!

Just A Thought.. My Time Was Scheduled For 1:30, But Some "blessed Soul "made A Post Stating That If You Call Riu In Mexico (which I Think Is The Headquarters) They May Have An Opening For A Later Time. Thank God My Time Is Now 4:00. I Will Try To Find The Number, But Check The Threads. Good Luck.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
