Hi Everyone, nice to see there are so many who love destination weddings as much as we do! My name is Gina, I'm half of the husband and wife photography team that makes up Pix of Life :: Wedding Photography :)

We actually transitioned full time into wedding photography after planning our own DW in Hawaii a year & half ago. I didn't even know this board existed in my planning days but of course planned just about everything over the internet and we had the experience of our lifetime. (BTW..for those who love looking at wedding photos you can see ours on our photographer Shawn Starr's website here.)

We have photographed quite a few Hawaiian DW's and recently were published in Destination Weddings & Honeymoon's mag (we were so excited since it was our first time being published!). We hope to to continue with photographing more DW's at beautiful locations in & out of the US. It has been an exciting ride to come from planning our own DW to photographing weddings so I guess you never know where getting married will ultimately take you.

Of course I'm not just here for the exposure so feel free to pm or email me if you have any questions that I might be able to help with regarding photography, Hawaii/DW travel & planning tips or all of the above.

BTW..I've read the vendor rules and will be sure to abide.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
