I think they can probably all play "Here Comes the Bride" but if you want something different you'll need to ask them what they can play for the "walk." Our mariachi trio is playing "Cannon in D" instead.

If you have a WC you can also ask them for suggestions of songs that have sounded nice in the past.

We haven't figured out all of the music yet, but for the beginning walk, it will be Cannon in D. That was one of the pieces I performed the first time I was recorded. When we do the unity ceremony, we'll play "de Colores" but it will be FI's mom singing on the last record she made (which will be a suprise for his family). And when the ceremony ends and we walk back up the aisle together, we'll play "Imagine" by John Lennon as a tribute to his dad (his favorite song).

I'll be walking down the aisle to "You Raise Me Up" by Josh Groban. The song is pretty long (almost 5 minutes), so I think I'm going to have BMs and flower girls walk down to this song too, and then I will enter about 3 minutes into the song at the big cresendo (sp),- the real "dramatic" part :)

I'm thinking about "The Prayer", Josh Groban and Charolette Church's version, for the parents/grandparents, and "I'm a Believer" by Smashmouth (from the Shrek soundtrack) as a recessional. It's a fun, upbeat song, and also has significance for us because one of my nicknames forl Matt is "Shrek" (I think he sorta looks like him....and I mean this in the most loving way possible....I happen to think Shrek is really cute with his bald head and little ears...just like Matt!) What do you think? See siggy pic below?

I have a proof that words don't matter - my FI is a photographer and one of the brides chose this song for her DVD slideshow...lol we had to cut it out

That's actually the song I was going to walk down the aisle to! We had decided to just fade it out before it got to the "til I find somebody else" part. Now I'm starting to lean toward "Question" by the Old 97's since I love them and it's what the FH sang to me when he proposed.
We're walking back off to "Such Great Heights" by the Postal Service.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
