Song to walk down the aisle

Recommended Posts

LOL I just spent the better half of my night listening to all your songs b/c even though I might know them I am what I like to call "musically challenged."

The two songs (both in instrumental) I had up in the air were BitterSweet Symphany by the Verve and Clocks by Coldplay. In the end Coldplay won. Maybe I can use BitterSweet somewhere else. Now only if I settle on what other songs to use.

ooh, I love clocks too!! My only problem with bittersweet symphony is that the instrumental version is not very long, I'm worried it might not be long enough for me to get down the aisle, but I love it!! Clocks has a similar sound to it, maybe I'll check that out too.

I have no idea about any of this. Probably Ava Maria. Matt's fam is from Italy and it's a beautiful song.

The only other thing that comes to mind is ALicia Keys new song "No One". I lvoe it, but Matt and I have very different taste in music. I am all R&B and hip hop. He doesn't want Alicia Keys. I am not too concerned about the music though.

I like "come away with me" by Nora Jones and an instrumental version of "bittersweet symphony" - one for the bridal party and one for me (although I am not sure exactly which one goes with which, but def leaning towards me walking to Nora). The only thing is, I am not sure if I want actual words while I am walking down the aisle and I don't know if "come away with me" will be the same without the words... am I being silly?

We're going to use "Somewhere over the Rainbow" for the bridal party, and then I'm going to walk down to Alison Krauss' cover of "I Will" by the Beatles. It also has a beachy, guitar feel to it, and I love it! Still haven't decided on a recessional yet.

On average, how long should the songs be for the bridal party (2 bridesmaids/groomsmen) and the bride processional? I don't want to finish walking and then stand and wait another 2 minutes for the song to finish!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
