I confess...

That FI and I met on myspace and our first meeting in person entailed a 'sleep over' at his house 90 miles away. He was surprised that I stuck around afterward because he thought I may have just used him for sex. Apparently he had been used a few times before. lol.

I also confess that I hope my father is a no-show to our AHR. We're inviting friends and co-workers that do not know that side of my family, and I don't want to be represented by him. He's got poor hygiene and lacks tact. He doesn't know when to shut the hell up even when he's been told that he's offensive and he shows little respect for other people. FI has only met him twice in the three years we've been together and I'm embarrassed to introduce him to FI's family. If he does come, I may have to buy him an outfit because I prefer that he doesn't show up wearing stained grey costco sweats.

Thanks for listening!

Congrats Danielle!!

And Marie, you're not the only one with embarrassing family! I think we all have a part of the family that we wish wouldn't go out in public!!

For us it was my grandfather, however he's since passed away years ago, and apparently my uncle feels the need to take his place! He lacks all sense of tact and thinks whatever comes out of his mouth is appropriate even if its to people he has never met before.

Fortunately for us, my aunt (his sister) understands how he gets and tends to keep him on a leash while at public functions. Now I just have to make sure they are seated at the same table for my AHR!

I confess to feeling really down this holiday season although I've been putting on a brave face. I'm over eating because of it, which is the opposite reaction I have when I'm stressed. The over eating means I'm gaining lbs, which makes me even sadder.

First time I really have the holiday blues - I hope I dont cry my eyes out when the ball drops cry.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
