Uh, I HATE the word nag! Men can be so difficult sometimes!!

Confession: In February I scheduled my BD session and I was about 14lbs away from my goal weight so I booked my session for July 11 (this Sunday) to give me time to get my weight down. So what do I do? Gain another 11lbs. We had a lot going on in the past 4 months, but I have no one to blame but myself. A part of me just wants to cancel the session and not do it at all. And also, I donâ€t fit into my wedding dress. It fit in January, but I canâ€t zipper it up anymore and I donâ€t have enough time to lose the 21lbs I need to to get my dress altered in time for the wedding. And I am a Weight Watchers leader!!!!! I help and motivate my members every week and Iâ€m not even at my own goal! I feel like such a hypocrite and every time I think about my dress not fitting and how fat I will look in my BD pictures it gets me so upset.

Don't get discouraged. You still have plenty of time to lose weight if you want to, you just have to commit to it. As a WW leader, you already have all the tools. I'm sure you can do it and fit into your dress no problem. I would also say go ahead with the BD photos, I'm sure they will be beautiful and seeing how good you look may give you the motivation you were looking for. Good luck.

Confession: I have already bought my wedding dress and TTD but all I want to do is keep dress shopping. I need to stop but it is so much fun.

I am also saddened by the fact that she is getting married this November and didn't ask me to be in her wedding party frown.gif She's having a DW as well, and invited me to come, but not to participate, which sucks. I always imagined us being in each other's weddings when we were growing up. But I suppose I should extend the olive branch, so to speak and make the first move towards reconciliation
That's even more reason for you to do this sooner rather than later. I'm getting married in Nov and can't say I'd add a new person to the bridal party but maybe you can have another intergral part in her ceremony, or just make a toast for that matter. I'm not saying that you should go into it expecting these things but you never know where her heart/head is at until you talk it out. You both may be having the same exact feelings about the situation.

confession: i'm kinda glad she's not coming, oops!
My FSIL wasn't coming to ours initially for reasons beyond her control but she never mentioned it. She agreed to be a bridesmaid, do my hair and all and had no plans of coming. It all worked out later and she's coming now, but that was wayyy too frustrating. I feel your pain. One less person you have to pay for/worry about tho!

I agree... the very word nag or nagging sends me into rage! Can't stand it... even worse, "you're not my mother!" Uh yeah, no kidding, don't act like a child that needs one!
Lol! Amy, I'm gonna use that one!

This is so sad and I feel your pain. When planning a wedding especially a DW people's true colors are exposed and some of the people we thought would go to the ends of the earth for us act like we shouldn't expect such. I hate that you're going thru this but I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that a "true" friend would sacrifice a trip with her bf to be there for you on one of the most important days of your life.

I feel your pain on this! I always thought that my wedding would be all the motivation I need to lose weight. It seems like the stress of planning alone adds on pounds. Like someone said tho, you already have the tools you need to lose the weight and you have time. Think about having to go buy another wedding dress and the fact that it would probably be ultra expensive and possibly not ready when you need it. Maybe that can serve as your motivation. As far as the BD shoot....do it! It's something that a few BDW ladies convinced me to do and by no means am I at my goal weight, but FI loves you the way you are and you have to embrace that. Hope it all works out for you!

My SIL didn't come to our wedding either and ignored my invite to come to our Vegas legal wedding should could have DRIVEN to in a few hours. I mean didn't even respond to my email.

She also got mad at me when I told her that I was going to DIY the hair flowers for the girls in my wedding instead of hiring her to make them acusing me of using another friend to make them instead. I made all 6 of them for $50 total where she was going to charge me that PER hair flower... riiiiippp offf. It's been over a year and she hasn't talked to me since. Petty! I even hand made something really special for my now niece she had last year and she goes "how much did THAT cost you?" I was like, I told you I MADE it.

Sad, I was excited to finally have a "sister" no such luck! So just know you ladies are not alone.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
