We finally have a date!

Congrats!!!! You must be so relieved to finally have date. I am still waiting to hear from Dreams to see if they have the weekend of 1/17/09 available.

 

Did you work directly with Dreams or are you working with another WC to help you with everything?

Yea we're super excited! The church and the hotel were a big thing. I actually just called Yesica directly at Dreams. She's the WC there. I find its quicker to talk to them directly, and she's super helpful.

This is the only email I have Yesica Garcia (weddings@dreamsloscabos.com.mx) and I think that its just the general email for the WC's at Dreams. From what I've heard they're all really good though, but Yesica is the one I've been talking to back and forth. It took a bit of time to get an answer at first too, so I just called and after that she's been really quick with the emails. I think right now they might be super busy with the weddings that are happening. Have you already made the travel arrangements with a TA?

No, not yet. I figured I should wait to hear from Dreams first. Are you working with a TA that you like? I sent an email to Lauriellee Rosser from Travelmasters last night but haven't heard back. Let me know if you are working with someone you like already. I am so stressed out about all of this

Honestly, I know exactly how you feel. I got so frustrated trying to make all these decisions and trying to pick a location etc...that I almost gave up on the whole destination wedding thing. Having a good travel agent I think is really important. I went through 2 before I found this lady that I really like. My suggestion would be to find someone where you are that you can actually sit down with and talk to. It really helps. It was also important to us to have a TA that had past experience with destination weddings, because it takes a bit of planning to make it work and to get all the people coordinated. She might be able to give you some ideas on the weather, and so on too. PM me your email, I can send you some of the stuff that I got from the WC etc, incl pictures.
