Corset or cups???

Recommended Posts

i am a DDD and have always been cursed with a "chest" (more like a bookcase....hahaha). You definitely need the support and I don't think you can possibly go wrong with the corset it will also benefit you in other areas keeps everything in place.

Ohhhhh and CONGRATS on your weight loss that's great! Good for you!

I share your curse, do you have any recommendations for a good corset? The ones at Davids Bridal don't fit me right for some reason. And nothing from VS has ever fit me!

That you for the website.. I think what i will do is buy a corset so that i will have it on my fittings then if the seamstress says she thinks i can go with cups then I maight go with cups.. i guess it just all depends.. i have never worn either so it will be an adventure!

hee hee ... I just finished with my final dress fitting and it was the first one with the cups actually sewn in. pinkie.gif LOVED THEM! pinkie.gif The cups definitely had a little padding to them - almost like with a push-up bra - it really filled out the bodice nicely.

I had been debating this issue as well. I completely agree with Nicole - if your dress is altered correctly that should be all you need. My dress already had an elastic hook-and-eye closure type band that was practically a built in bra and the bodice of the dress had boning - I just felt like I had too many layers with a corset on under the dress.

Now that I've tried the dress with the cups sewn in - it was perfect!

I highly recommend them....I love mine! Us girls need extra guard rail in the bra....but you want it to be a pretty bra, makes you feel prettier! And congrats on the weight loss, good for you, I'm tring to do the same....just having a hard time with it. Just keep your mind to it! Either way you will still look like a beautiful bride on your day.

I want a reduction so bad, but I know I'll never do it. My BF is getting married in Belize in Oct and she picked the cutest BM dresses but they are backless so I've got to figure out a way to hoist up the girls, maybe ducktape!

THANKS! The only thing that works for me to lose lbs is to lift weights and cut out sugar. You just have to figure out what works for you. I'm just not organzed/disciplined enough to count points or do any of that formal diet stuff.

I just noticed that you are getting married in Charleston, that's where all my family is from. I was just there last weekend. Where are you having your ceremony and reception?offtopic2.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
