I heard about her on the local news..she was going to school in Santa Barbara. Why are they protesting her funeral? Usually they protest the soldier's funerals because they're gay. I can't believe they would think that someone "deserves" to have this happen to them.. How sad, the poor family and like you said community.

I can't stand those kind of people! I agree, they need to let families grieve.

 

I work at the airport. When a fallen soldier comes in from war and they are transporting his body, the firefighters here go out with their rigs and lights and they all line up and salute the hearse as it takes the body and family members from the tarmac to through the secued area of the airport. Well, one time the funeral home got wind that some of those protestors were coming to protest when they brought the body out, so (I am SO not kidding) these bikers came and drove with the hearse and the family to escort them from the airport. The bikers were there as bodyguards in case any of the protestors were acting like fools!

 

I am not kidding! We had a parking lot full of bikers here! I was so proud of them! They were ready to handle business!

 

In this girls case, hopefully these awful people will back off and let the family have their time. It is such a sad story.

Just this morning I read the article in People about Brianna, (the one with Christina Aguilera and baby on the cover) and I was so hoping to hear good news about her. That is so sad how they found her. Such a pretty girl. I hope they catch that f*%ker and cut his ba!!s off.

omg...I totally know what group you're talking about! They are the most horrible, mean, nasty people!! They just make me angry! And I swear their reasons for their protests never make any sense!!!! Like I've seen people protest at like Gay Pride parades and stuff...while I think it's dumb and mean, I get it. They disagree w/ whatever. But this group's reason for protesting solider's funerals is not because the soliders himeslf was gay...but because the military allows gay people to join. So they're protesting a person they don't know, who has NOTHING to do with their acutal cause! A lot of those guys were married w/ families and stuff but their funerals are being protested because this group is against homosexuality.

 

A local radio show actually did a phone interview w/ the founder's daughter. Omg...she was such a bitch!! She was just mean! And so irrational...she falt out said that God hates everyone, and that God hates Ireland and Canada and the US and like 10 other countries. (why?!?!?) The host was like, "is there ANYwhere that God likes?" lol! it was funny 'cause they really didn't get into it with her....they just sort of let her talk and make an ass out of herself. But damn...it was hard not to get SO angry listening to her. It's just despicable to me.

I'm really proud of those bikers.. they call themselves the Patriot Guard Riders. I think what they do is so great. Sometimes they rev their bike engines so people can't hear the protesters' shouts.

So if Reno/LV is sinful, why this funeral? Because it made national news? Tons of people are buried every day there- that makes no sense.

 

So this is the first I have heard of this story (I must be in a moving bubble and can't watch tv). Have they had any type of ID on this guy? So scary! I hope they get this resolved soon.

 

My heart goes out to the family of the girl. I can't imagine trying to grieve when you have @ssholes protesting her funeral. That's just sickening.
