That walk in closet is amazing! I am so jealous!

My favorite room is our bedroom. We have the best bed ever from the W hotel store (thanks to Alyssa!). It is so comfy and fluffy. I also have 800 thread count sheets from Bloomies. Also amazing! We have a flat screen TV that comes with a built in DVD player. I love snuggling in the bed and watching movies for hours. We have his and her closets which is sooooo nice. I don't have any pics but as soon as I take some I will post.

My house is in that half done state too. We've got everything painted - FINALLY! But are slowly getting all the decor, fixtures and stuff done. We've installed new fixtures in the hall bath and new ceiling fans/lights in the office, breakfast area and one of the spare bedrooms. Those make a HUGE difference! We bought the new light fixtures for the dining room and entry way but they don't fit!!! Arrggghhhhh! Our house has the weirest "holes" for the ceiling fixtures..they're like just barely the wrong size for every single light we've bought for them! wtf.gif It's so frustrating...'cause there are no measurements on the boxes...you just have to find out the hard way once you un-install whatever you've already got and climb up there w/ the new one! censored.gif

Anyway, not that you were asking for all that info... lol!

I guess my point is that I don't have a favorite room right now since I feel that they're all unfinished. I have furniture that I like a lot, or parts of things that I like...but nothing is quite "right" yet. smile27.gif

omg I seriously need to post pics of my house so people can help me decide on paint colors. We have a really open floor plan with cathedral ceilings, and it's a quad-level house. Basically, we can see every other room in the house from pretty much whatever room we're in, if that makes sense. You can even see into the bedroom (well, the wall and ceiling anyway) from the living room because it's a loft that looks over. From my couch where I sit in the living room right now, I can see the dining room, kitchen, entry (down a flight of stairs), family room (up a flight of stairs), spare bedroom & bathroom, and our bedroom (up another flight of stairs). SO....that's why my house isn't "done" yet. It's really not even decorated how I want. We want to redo the floors, but we'd have to do all new flooring throughout and we want hardwood- the budget dictates that we wait awhile on that. We don't want to do anything else until all our debt is paid off.

Anyway, here is my living room- I love the layout, the fireplace and the huge ceiling...I want to change the color & the carpeting...

That's a 12 foot Christmas tree. You can see the loft overlook of the bedroom. The fireplace is 3 stories. It starts in the basement living room and bedroom, continues up through the living room and is one wall of the kitchen, and continues up through our bedroom. There are fireplaces on the lower living room & main living room levels. So in this pic, the couch is to the right out of view, the dining room is to the left of the tree and the kitchen is behind the fireplace.

Ok I can't see your pictures Sarah because my stupid work computer doesn't bring them up.. So I'll look at home.

BUT with that said I just wanted to add that I hope your christmas tree is down by now.. :-) (sorry my neighbors still have their lights up and ON every night, drives me batty)

That's totally what I want to do Rachelle- wood throughout. The problem is that the carpet was literally brand new when we bought the house, so it's kinda hard to justify ripping it out right away. Wood is definitely the long term plan.

So, with that dark fireplace would you do light or dark wood? I have SUCH a hard time decorating... it's impossible for me to make decisions on stuff! Besides the fact that I have champagne taste on a beer budget. lol

Yes Tammy, the tree is down. That was taken Christmas morning! Here's another one...

This is from our bedroom looking down the tree:

This is my living room- see, very boring decor... don't mind the mess- these were from my bro's welcome home from the Air Force party

This is my dining room- the decor is boring, although I love my dining room set, and my view can't be beat! I just need some color on the walls!

Got any ideas?

My cousins...keeping an eye on the food table! lol

Tammy, the state of Maryland actually passed a law and fined people for having their lights still up past the end of January.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
