Thanks for the site. I have a question for you all about wedding favors...for those of you who will be having a reception when you get back...are you still going to provide favors? We aren't having a "formal" sit down reception, just cocktails and ap's...we want more of a big celebration bash with everyone.

Is it strange to have favors with the wedding date if they didn't even get to see the wedding?

Ann,
Where are you getting your luggage tags? Did you fiind a favor website for those or just a store near you? Do you know if there are any cool "beachy" type tags? I am going to search the net for them now, but if you have any direction for me to go...let me know :)
Thanks!

my dad asked me last night, "What are favors and how many do you have to give out" so apparently he was not planning on paying for that. I don't think you have to give favors, I think people used to give almonds or chocolate, but I have been to wedding where people just had the bubbles on the table and had a little note thanking them for coming. I think I will do favors just beacuse I like this one and my fiance does too.

Those are so cute and btw I was totally thinking of you last night b/c I was going through my old Modern Bride's and came across a bride who had her wedding in Napa and did her whole decor in bordeaux and I thought of your beautiful sash etc. Let me know if you want the article (assuming you haven't already seen it)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
