Maybe the mugs with a handle will work better. I know it's hard when you have the tumblers on the beach livin it up...no one is going to think about the sunscreen on their hands rubbing off our cute little logos.

Thank you for posting your pictures they were amazing. We are heading to ROR Dec.28th, and are bringing a large party as well. Did anyone with your group get sick? I am so worried about people getting sick, I know we just got back from a wedding in Dominican and so many people were sick!

Only one person got really sick in our group, and we first thought it was maybe from the food, but then later decided that it was truly the stomach flu that has been going around at home. All of us ate the same food, and only one got sick.

So no, other than that, no one got sick. There are jugs of water in every room, and the water served in the dining areas is filtered. I drank it all day and didn't get sick at all...

JamaicaBride, I am thinking of doing the same plan that you did, dinner at Mammee, reception at SeaGrape. I've been looking all over for reception dinner pricing at Mammee, do you remember how much you paid? Do you still have the menu?? What did most of your guests end up doing between the ceremony and reception?

Dinner at Mammee was included (free) and the food was great. Both the steak and red snapper were fabulous! We had 40 people, though, and it probably took a good 1 1/2 - 2 hrs. ***I attached the menu.

Between our ceremony and dinner, the bridal party and a few others hung out by the lobby/bob marley bar and talked and had a few cocktails. I actually ate some lunch too since I barely ate anything before the ceremony since I was nervous :) Others in our family changed and went to the pool or beach for a few hours. All in all, I would have rather had a later ceremony, but that's what was available, so we made it work.

Good luck!

Oh my Goodness! Your pictures are just wonderful and I am bumming out that they weren't taken by a professional, b/c I was going to ask who your photographer was!!

First off, you looked absolutely fabulous - but then you know that already. I love that you guys genuinely looked like you had a great time.

I've really been wanting to do the beach wedding, but have had concerns about it being a bit too casual. You have been the deciding factor, in my coming to the conclusion that it can be done on the beach - and done elegantly!

Am loving the look of ROR. I realise that you came in on a great budget ($1,000 for flowers?!!) but can I ask what it cost to stay at ROR? For yourself and the groom? And for the guests? What length of stay did you have?

Thanks SO much for sharing your pictures and taking the time to post this review/answer questions. I'm definately gearing toward ROR, thanks to your input! It looks fabulous!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
