Did you find it very breezy at night on the beach? I'm just a little worried about our candles blowing out. No biggy if they do as I think Chandlyn said she would supply tiki torches.
Dancing in the sand was seriously so much fun!! My friends and family are still talking about it! I'm jealous of your dinner on the beach...I would have loved to do that if we had the money. It will be beautiful!

No, not too breezy at all. They put the huge tiki torches right down by the ocean and I think maybe one blew out, but that was it. Good luck, sounds wonderful!

SORRY, maybe I should actually answer your question...and, I think that your candles will be fine. Ours were in luminaries, but it isn't at breezy closer to the Bar...

Also are the tiki torches provided free of charge? Or are they (as I'm assuming) another extra?
Tiki torches are included w/ the 10 p/p fee...

- You had the beach location, obviously not the gazebo. When did you choose the archway, prior to arriving? I picked out the arch ahead of time and sent Chandlyn an email asking the cost. The arch that I picked was actually already on the beach, so it must be somewhat popular. I also brought the pic of it with me to show here in our meeting.- You were married at 1:00? I have noticed some pictures of later weddings that look really dark, in the shade almost. In your opinion, would you say 2:00 or 3:00 would be a good time? The Jr Suite building actually shaded a lot of the area. We were married at 1pm...I would have loved 2 or 3 if we could have gotten it. The break between wedding and dinner was a little long.- Was the 3 layer cake included? What flavour did you get? The cake was included and we were shocked at how big it was since we didn't upgrade. We got chocolate (no rum) with like a whipped cream frosting, and to be honest, it was the best dessert that we had at the resort. What was kind of sad was that we didn't really care about the cake (I didn't ask for any special decoration/flowers, etc) and we actually didn't serve it after dinner. We cut into it about midnight at the Seagrape kind of as an afterthought, since we weren't planning on it even being big enough to feed everyone. Our wedding party had some fun with it as well.- Was it really windy? I guess an up hair style would be best for that
I REALLY wanted to wear my long hair down as I always do, but we did a test run (my matron and I) a few days before and because of the humidity, it wasn't cooperating. I am SO happy that I ended with most of it up because of the wind. I actually would have pinned more front pieces back because several of my pics, I have a piece or two running across my face. I would also advise your family/bridesmaids of that as well since I had one bridesmaid where her hair is COVERING her face in every picture.
Sorry for all the questions!
Good luck...I'm sure your wedding will turn out beautiful!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
