Group Rate Costs

Recommended Posts

Just to share.. I went through a TA who was able to give much better rates than the resort was for a group.

We are staying at Dreams Punta Cana and will probably have close to 50ppl if not more.. we reserved 10 guaranteed to hold the group rate.

Deluxe Room

Single (meaning one person in room only): $1305/pp for 7 nights

Double (meaning two ppl in room only): $886/pp for 7 nights = $1772 room

Triple (meaning three ppl in room only): $875/pp for 7 nights = $2625 room

These rates were all inclusive including taxes, fees, etc and include xfers to and from the airport.

If you are interested, I am happy to give anyone info for my TA (PM me). She is great and does everything over the phone so your location doesn't really matter.

You can also price match a vacation from one travel company to another. In the past, I've price matched a vacation, received the price matched total, and plus 10% percent the difference. If there's a particular company or TA that you want to use, but their vacations rate are too high. If you can provide proof of lower package, they will price match in order to keep your business. I also like using BookIt.com® Travel Specials: Discounted Hotels, Resorts & Vacation Deals. I normally can find packages with them much lower than most TAs. The only website that was lower than BookIt.com® Travel Specials: Discounted Hotels, Resorts & Vacation Deals was beachdestintations.com. Their website looked a little sketchy to me. So, I spoke to my TA at bookit.com about the lower rate. He was able to pricematch it.

FYI, you can also contact BookIt.com® Travel Specials: Discounted Hotels, Resorts & Vacation Deals for Group Hotel Reservations by BookIt.com. Their group reservation department comes with a free group coordinator. I believe you can input your information and they will contact you with a quote. Or, you can call directly. Here's the contact info for my TA: Steve @ 1-888-782-9722 x.6244.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
