Dreams vs. non-inclusive sight

Recommended Posts

my FI and i just feel in love with Dreams through their website and the fact that it is an all inclusive... once we did our site visit we were reassured that we made the right descion...

we are both in the service industry and knew that an all inclusive was the way to go becuase you wouldnt be paying for 3 meals, drinks, service (tips), transportation etc. In my opionion all inclusive is the way to go

From most of the research that I did prior to picking Dreams Cabo it seems that they have some of the best prices. Especially if you want to have a private reception outdoors on a patio. We looked at both AI and European Plan resorts but its just really expensive to not have your meals and drinks included. Plus, its easier for your guests if they have a set price to work with.

I think it def depends on what you are looking for and what you and your guests can afford. I was very hesitant to get married at an AI because I had never done it before...now I am thrilled about it. I am getting married at Dreams in Nov. and for us and our guests it was the only way to go.

When we did our initial site visit I had already narrowed it down to three locations in Cabo...Hilton, Cabo Surf and Dreams. We stayed at the Hilton which was our first choice. We visited the Cabo Surf and we were able to get free day passes from the WC at Dreams to visit the resort and eat and drink for a day. I really thought I wanted the Hilton until I visited and realized that the best fit would be an all inclusive, no matter how classy, beautiful and elegant the Hilton was. We chose Dreams for several reasons 1) The wedding is a quarter of the price for us as the Hilton would have been, 2) It is WAY cheaper for our guests as well when you consider the price of food and drink at the Hilton, 3) our guests are big drinkers and 4) we wanted to have a non-stop party and I think Dreams is much better suited for that. As a group we would have been the loud annoying group at the Hilton pool.

Anyhow, there are lots of considerations and it really does depend on what you are looking for.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
