These are the bridesmaid dresses that my girls are going to be wearing! Generally speaking I'm not a huge fan of the one shoulder look, but I LOVE these!! Still trying to decide on a color ~ ahhhh, too many decisions!

Well, I thought I had my bridesmaid dresses, but nope, we cannot get the right sizes in... so now I am looking back at the multiway dresses. Then FI had a thought...

Has anyone thought of making their own bridemaid dresses?

I only have 2 girls... and I have found some relatively simple instructions. I am also having trouble finding the right colour of coral, so I thought maybe I should just get the cloth and colour I want, and then DIY them. I can sew, I have a sewing machine, but am far from a seamstress. FI's mom used to sew a lot so if I run into trouble I know I could count on her.

Has anyone thought of doing this?

Peach and nude tones are everywhere in stores this season.  Have you tried looking around at stores that are not strictly bridal.  Not sure what look you are going for, but if you are wanting a flowy /beachy feel Aritzia has a bunch of coral.  They also have a great sale on right now!  Since you are only looking for 2 people I'm sure you could get the sizes you need.  Also check online ASOS ships for free to Canada and it is easy to do returns.  Good luck!

Thanks for the tip.

We have found LOTS of peach. But peach, despite my name, is not our colour. The coral that we want is hard to find in non-bridal stores, which is where I am shopping to save costs.

Cost is very important. Very tight budget. Also, we want more casual than what there is in a lot of bridal shops... not that we have a lot of bridal shops in this area.

FI is actually more concerned about the right colour of coral than I am, which is a little funny. I just think he is avoiding how some look so pink.

Aritzia and ASOS - I will definitely check it out.

This is the dress my girls picked - it is Bill Levkoff, style 560, in horizon blue.  I wasn't at all picky and thought they would all end up with something different but then they all fell for this one, the set in waist is super flattering!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
