I think mismatch dresses are such a very good option. These are: Betsy Johnson Blush Swirl Cloud, The Limited Online, and BCBG.   If you want to see some more pics (along with a whole-bridal-party-TTD session) clic here:

  • 3 weeks later...

My bridesmaids are wearing these mint green dresses from Nordstrom (Donna Morgan Chiffon). I originally wanted this 'rusty shale' dress from JCrew but didn't want my BMs to pay $250 after they are paying so much to come to my wedding! It was really hard to find a similar color but once I saw this one I liked it even more for the beach wedding. I was going for the ocean and sand look (groomsmen are wearing khaki color and white). The best thing about Nordstrom is free shipping and returns! My bridesmaids were able to try them on different sizes, and one even returned later when she lost weight, with no problems! I had them chose from 2 different styles but they all wanted this one :)

This is the dress my girls picked - it is Bill Levkoff, style 560, in horizon blue.  I wasn't at all picky and thought they would all end up with something different but then they all fell for this one, the set in waist is super flattering!

Okay, so I was seriously planning on making multiway dresses for my bm and moh... and then I was in a mall in Calgary with FI, and we saw these at Forever 21... For $33. They only had two dresses... in the sizes we need. $33! I cannot buy material for that, and we like them, and the colour is good, and it is the material type and "feel" that we want - pretty and casual and a little bohemian/vintage look.

Again I say... $33 each! CRAZY! So of course we had to go that way.

I have a picture of my lovely sister and moh trying on the dress... in a mall public bathroom right after I bought the dresses. Hers will need to be taken in about an inch or two, but I am not too worries about that. Ignore her tights and shoes... She just threw it on so we could see the style and shape on her.

So the pictures are not very good... like I said, she threw it on, and all the pics were taken with my phone, but it at least gives an idea. What do you guys think? Is it bridesmaid-y enough?

I like them!! They are perfect for the beach, and as long as you are fine with the color then you are good to go! I also tried forever 21 in Calgary and Vancouver but they didn't have our colors :(

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
