Any of the South Shore beaches in Bermuda are absolutely beautiful. The sand actually has a pink tone to it, which looks amazing next to the aqua colour of the water. Warwick Long Bay is my particular favourite, but Horseshoe Bay is pretty spectacular as well. The coolest thing is that most of the beaches along this shore are connected by sand paths, making it possible to hike from beach to beach (if that's your kind of thing). I don't have any pictures I can upload at the moment (stuck at work), but here is a link to Bermuda's tourism page: Bermuda Vacations, Meetings, Weddings, Guide, History & Culture | Bermudatourism.com - Feel the Love for some more info.

Makapuu Point beach on Oahu is also pretty amazing. It's right across the street from Sea Life Park (where Adam Sandler worked in 50 First Dates), and just down the road from Magnum P.I.'s helicopter dock. popcorn.gif

Okay, here are a few pix of Warwick Long Bay...none of them are mine, but they definitely capture the beach at its best:

By far my favorite beach is on the Southwest tip of Puerto Rico. It's called Playa Sucia which strangely translates to Dirty Beach.

The water is clear turquoise blue, sand is powdery white and there are cliffs on either side of orange and red rocks. There are no services there and outside of some locals, nobody is there. No tourists at all. I would tell you how to get there, but then I'd have to kill ya. I attached one so so photo of it that I have.

Oh gosh. I love the beach but the extent of my beach travels has stayed in the Caribbean. Here are just a few.

Montego Bay, Jamaica - I couldn't believe how clear the water was although you can't really tell from the picture.

This was was in Punta Cana, DR.

The Virgin Islands were also fantastic, in particular St. John. This one is at Soloman Beach. It was great because we had to hike about a mile to get to it but this was our first view which made it all worth it.

And this one is at Little Hawksnest Beach. Did someone say deserted?

Bonaire was beautiful too as was Isla Saona in the DR. Sorry no pics.

Jamy, like Jill, I've also heard that Bermuda beaches are stunning. With the clear water and the pinkish sand.

Also, I think (but I'm not 100% sure) that the video for Boyz II Men's "Water runs dry" was filmed in the Margarita Islands. Actually now that I think of it, I don't know how true that is but I think my hair dresser told me this too. I tried to google it for accuracy but I couldn't find anything. I just remember that in the video there was clear water and white sand. Ahhhhh....

There are so many great beaches. The Virgin Islands are beautiful and it's fairly easy to island hop depending on where you stay. We stayed in St. John for the first half of our honeymoon, and went all over the islands. Here are a couple pics.

I think the best beach I have ever been to was in Green Turtle Cay, Bahamas. It's a really small island off the coast of Abaco island. I don't have any pictures, but here is one from google. You can walk out forever and it stays shallow and the water is super calm.

OMG..this post is making me want to book another vacation as soon as we get back from PV!!!

I really really want to see Fiji, Hawaii and Greece.

Some of the nicest beaches I've seen were in La Romana Dominican Republic. Sanoa island is amazing. Cayo Guillermo, Cuba...omg...crystal clear water...shallow and white white sand. And I went to a beach right near the Tulum ruins in Mexico that was stunning.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
