@@calgarybride2015 be careful with the groupon deals, read the fine print and ask a ton of questions before purchase. I found American Laser Skincare at a bridal show last year. Best vendor I've met at a bridal show!

I had thought about trying this a while back but totally forgot about it until I came across this thread! lol. Our wedding is not until October 2015 so I feel like I should do a test run seeing as I have never gotten one!

@cfinkenbine @kcole123 I've never had ANYTHING waxed either! So scared...My stomach turns thinking of it! Have you girls tried it yet? How was it? I think I might start by doing my legs and then arm pits and then lady bits? Any thoughts?

I am the biggest wimp you will ever meet. Two things I am terrified of for the wedding.

1. Getting a Brazillian/Bikini wax

2. Crying like a sap and ruining makeup at the ceremony or before the ceremony or after the ceremony. I cry over everything. I wish there was a pill you could take so I wouldnt' be a sofie. And I must note, I am an ugly cryer and I don't want to see this in pictures. Yup that terrifies me to no end. I think about that I feel sick.

@@kcole123 ha! I'm a crier too I cry at commercials, Facebook videos... I cry when I'm happy, sad and worst of all mad. It's a given I'm going to bawl

I thought I was the only one that cries when they're mad! Haha people don't understand that reaction at all until I tell them "well I either punch someone or cry, so I choose cry" haha.

With that said, I never cried getting my Brazilian done. It's definitely not fun but it honestly takes like 10 minutes and you're out of there. The first time is really awkward too. The first time I got it done I was surprised that it hurt less than I had imagined! I'd say you start with other parts of your body and then move up. If you can handle waxing the hair around your ankles and shins you'll be fine :). I find that's the most painful for me. Also try simple bikini before you go Brazilian to give it a shot and see if you can handle the pain.

Hello,,, i think you're very expert with waxing, am i right?

i bought a waxing gel and i dont know how to make it work. i dont have microwave, so i boiled water and put the waxing gel there and i use it, apply it and the paper. but it doesnt work. do you know what's wrong???

Make sure you're applying the wax in the direction of the hair and removing it against the hair. Other than that I'm not sure. Is the wax somewhat runny or is it really hard to apply? If it's painful to apply and doesn't run it might not be hot enough. You don't want it to be liquid either but somewhat of a melted chocolate consistency id say. Good luck!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
