Thanks All! I have called Dreams and was told that Marianna is not back until after the New Year. Yesica is the other coordinator that I talked to over the phone. (Not sure she speaks English too well though.) But, she did give me the available dates in July and there aren't any Saturdays left. hissyfit.gif mad.gif

Does anyone recommend using a wedding planner? I requested Bajaweddings.com for some info...just not sure if they will be worth it.

the days book quickly at dreams...i think most of the gals here have the sats. smile124.gif

what about a friday or sunday? legal or symbolic ceremony?

i usually just work with mariana....also, she is very good so you may not need an outside WC depending on how large and elaborate of an event you want...

I'm thinking 7/16/07 (Monday) or 7/22/07 (Sunday). We are planning on a legal wedding, so will show up the three business days before ceremony. Has anyone ever worked with Yesica...should I wait until next week for Mariana?

if you are having a larger wedding, it will most likely be moved to mariana...also she oversees everything yessica does so i would not feel too insecure even if you do have yessica. it doesn't take much to book your date wink.gif but if you want to wait, you can but be prepared that it may take you a few days to get back to you

Hi and welcome! I have been working with Emlee at Baja Weddings and have been very impressed with their services thus far. (She mentioned that they plan many weddings at Fiesta Americana). I know many of the other girls on here have been working with other planners as well.

Fiesta Americana does seem pretty. And the beds look nicer. Oh no! I'm getting indecisive again...

Knowing what I know now I wouldn't have hired a coordinator. Yes I have event planning experience, yes I actually enjoy this but a day of coordiantor is all you need... that's not even a must.

Baja is the most expensive of all coordinators, I am usung Sunset Weddings. They are ok thus far but not a true planner if you ask me. I will be more than happy to help you as well as the other brides. There is so much info here you can do it yourself... most people speak English there so it's not as intimidating.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
