Blue glass stones for vase

Recommended Posts

I'm thinking about doing centerpieces now... I wasnt going to originally but now here is what I'm thinking. Short square vases with blue glass like stones at the bottom filled with Gerbera Daisies. I'm thinking more glass like then actual stones, almost clear or see through. Does anyone have any ideas where I can buy the blue stones for cheap?

I have some blue sea glass that I bought at Pottery Barn last year for a home decor project I never finished. I think I have either 3 or 4 bags (they're probably around 5lbs each). They were expensive (don't remember how much, but something like $10 each), I'd sell them for $15 + shipping.

I was also having trouble finding pink glass gems...I finally found some at super walmart but not just pink alone...red, pink and clear so I will sift through the 3 bags I bought and take all the pink out. Howeer, I saw blue alot. dark blue though. I am not sure what color blue you're looking for?

The garden stores are a good idea...I didn't think of that. I think Michaels had blue too.

I like your idea...it wil look very nice. what color daisies?

Thanks everyone for your help! I didn't think they would be easy to find, I guess I was wrong.

Sarah- Thanks, I'm going to look around and see if I can find some, if not I will definately take you up on your offer!

Michelle- I'm not sure what color daisies yet, all of the bouquets will be gerbera daisies but I haven't figured out colors yet.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
