New Dreams Tulum Bride!!!

Recommended Posts

Hi ladies,

I just got the confirmation from Sandra and our wedding is May 9, 2009!! whoooo cheesy.gif

So far this forum has been great, but I was hoping everyone could point me in the direction of where to go next! Eventually, when we pick out our flowers, where we want the ceremony, etc. do I just email Sandra and let her know? Also, I keep reading about the private receptions--if we don't do that, does that mean it is in one of the restaurants and there could be guests from the resort there?! Also, in the Ultimate package, I know the bouquet and two boutonnières/corsages are included, and a center piece for our table and ceremonial table, but does anyone has the price list of what extra flowers will cost?

Basically any advice and direction would be greatly appreciated right now!

Thanks!!

Congratulations, I'll add you to the list!

Check out the thread: http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t7767

people have attached the pdf documents we have gotten from the wedding coordinators, so most of your questions are answered in those documents, there are also tons of other Qs&As that will be super helpful.

Yes there would be other people in the restaurants unless you pay 700$ to have the restaurant closed. You cold alternatively have it on the beach or on the terrace, which would probably be more private (unless a bride chose the same dinner location the same day - but you could find that out from the coordinator when you get there and then you could change your plans if you wanted)

NO, you can no longer do that ! ! ! That is why they are building a ball room next to the kids club ! !

Tourist were complaining that restaurants where closing every night ...Don't forget, there is about 1 to 3 wedding per day there ! Just imagine after your wedding that most restaurants are closed because of weddings...you wouldn't be happy ? !!!Groups over 20 or 25 will no longer be able to eat at the restaurants as of April 2008. The ball room is enormous... many rooms (you can have a weddding of 700, another of 200, another of 40 , etc... I did post the information about the new ball room building a few months ago (do a search a you will see the floor plan)

Welcome and Congrats! You will love Dreams. When we were planning our wedding, My husband and I just sent an e-mail to Sandra requesting price lists, ceremony set up pics, and flower choices. She sent the info straight to us via email within a few days. As you'll probally find out communication can be slow with WC team at Dreams but they do follow through. Jay and I found phone calls to Landy or Sandra were the best way to get info quickly. There's a lot of great info on here. But really, the best way to get info you need is to go straight to the source (Dreams WC team). Congrats and Happy Planning.

Does this mean you have to have a private reception or is the ballroom included in the price of the package? And if we decide to have it on the beach, does that cost extra as well? Did anyone have it on the beach and have any complaints about it? I keep thinking the beach would be really different and unique--and goes along perfectly with our theme!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
